I went home after a brief, disastrous first marriage at 25. NEVER too old. Pay your parents negotiable rent, help with household chores. I was 39 when I went back to College. Now at 58, thinking of taking the plunge again. My brother is in his 60’s, taking classes that interest him.

Hon, my husband of 33 yrs (yes we are still married but we will never be together again) walked out on me in '18 to ‘find what he missed in life’ with my best friend. It took me a few to get myself together again. I had stood beside him through things most would have ran from, including a 20 do 10 prison sentence. There were many signs and red flags that I should have seen long before that would have saved my children n myself many heartaches plus.
I am turning 62 this year and finally, after the shock of it all, working on starting my life over.
If you are questioning things then listen to your gut, that inner voice, and go! I don’t know your religious views but I do know a way will be provide. Take care of yourself & your child and don’t look back. You have your whole life in front of you!

Who’s old? I am 83 and still see myself as young. My advice:Quit while you’re ahead. Focus on investing time and money on yourself.

Go talk to Admissions at your local community college. They can help you figure out financing and child care. Then, just keep putting one foot in front of the other. I went back to school at 50. So, no, you don’t seem too old to me. And, when I was a college professor, in my sixties, I loved the “older” students like you. The extra experience you have helps you focus and maintain priorities and that’s the key to success in college.
