Is hemorrhoid surgery worth it?

I hate to post this. It’s embarrassing but it’s part of life. I’m needing opinions from others that has had hemorrhoid surgery. Is it worth it? Did the hemorrhoids return? How bad were your hemorrhoids before you chose to have it? How bad was the surgery? Basically a short run down. I’m debating on if I should have it or not. I’m really scared. I would love some opinions please if you feel comfortable about it. Thank you!

I have a friend who had it done was very painful and mobility is limited for quite a few weeks best to avoid it if you can

I was frozen, Dr removed it, and i had zero pain afterwards
