I might miss my regular doctor’s appointment tomorrow due to the two storms hitting back to back. I’m 17 weeks pregnant on Thursday. Has anyone else experienced pressure in their pelvis at this point? I know it might be normal, but it didn’t happen with my first two. The best way I can describe what it feels like is, “It feels like I’m 40 weeks pregnant, and the head and body is in place preparing for labor.” It’s that kind of pressure. Any advice, or has anyone else ever experienced something similar, and things turned out okay?
Currently 17 wks and feeling the same way , but it doesn’t last long .
Yes it’s normal almost feels like you’re sitting on them I’ve had this with all of mine
currently 20w5d and i’ve been feeling like that for about 2 months now lol this pregnancy is sooooo different than my first. i. am. miserable.
It’s normal I had it with mine
My last boy was like that … he was born facing up (with about 30 seconds of being vaccuumed) instead of down… only difference in my case anyways… but I had that pressure pretty well from when I started feeling movements
I haven’t had that. But I been feeling like my back/hip hurts on one side and it makes me limp for a bit. Or groin pain
Try not lift anything heavy
I’m 23 weeks and have been feeling this since 20 weeks. My two pregnancies have been the exact same except this time I have a posterior placenta (anterior with the first). My OB said it wasn’t anything to worry about because I had just had my anatomy scan and my cervix was still long. But it sure doesn’t feel all that great when it happens randomly. Talk to your OB for some reassurance.
i felt that way from 12 weeks to 16-17 doctor said it’s normal this is my second baby my first i didn’t feel this until the very end so i was concerned at first as well it’s uncomfortable ! lol currently 18 weeks it went away for now
I had that happen my last pregnancy and I had a mild infection that required antibiotics. I would get checked.
Yes had with my last…like that whole pregnancy
It’s totally normal. I felt it with my daughter. It may feel uncomfortable. But, its totally normal.
I’m 25 weeks and have been feeling this since about 17 weeks also. This is my third pregnancy and I never felt it with my first 2. He is currently flopping around right on top of my cervix😳
I’ve been carrying my 2nd low. Normal yes. Uncomfortable yes yes!!
Good luck mama
Yes but everything will rise up soon when your uterus is flush with your belly button . Relax it’s normal . Lots of pressure and growing the next couple weeks
I had it with my 3rd baby and was told it could happen sometimes, but I was also monitored very closely for the rest of my pregnancy. I would do everything in my power to make it to that appointment and speak with your doctor in detail about this.
I didnt not that early I would at least call the Dr
Go to that appt or get another in a day or two
Go to your doctor appt but happened with my 3rd also. My muscles were just so weak from 3 pregnancies back to back that I felt like she was gonna fall out at any moment. I wore a pregnancy belt around/under my belly for support. Went full term with no issues.
Try to get to ur appt. My daughter my second kid was so low at about 23 weeks. Her head in my pelvis…very uncomfortable and we were concerned about going into labor…I made it to 38 weeks but it was scary
I’ve felt that since week 10 but I’m having twins. Never had it with my other 2. They told me if the pressure is so intense that it feels like you have to poop you need to call them. Luckily it’s just the weight from the extra baby and my cervix is fine, but it is a concern and they check me every appt for it now. I’d definitely call.
Yes and the dr brushed it off as needing physical therapy. After I had her never had the issue again.
Go to your doctor appointment, get some one to take you, or at least call ,doctor may have you come on in or go to the ER, between now and then stay hydrated.
It can be normal or pre term labor. Better to call your doc just to be on safe side. I have 6 kids and have experienced preterm an it was just a lot of pressure. But I had some pressure with all my others. Hence why I say call your doctor let them decide what to do
Could be uti… I had pelvic pressure at 7/8 months. Went to my appt, they did a routine urine check and found that I had uti… Antibiotics cured it.
It’s perfectly normal. I’m pregnant with my 3rd and didn’t experience it with the first two either. I asked my doctor about it and she was so nonchalant saying it just happens after multiple pregnancies although my first two are 9 and 14. I didn’t think it’d be like this because of so much time in between. I’m now 35 weeks and it sucks. I have to sleep with a pillow between my thighs. Sometimes, my pelvic bone actually pops and dear God that doesn’t feel well. It helps to lay on my back for a little and keep my legs Indian style while pushing down in my thighs for 10 seconds then releasing for about 5 seconds and repeat about 5 times. Just spread those legs eagle and stretch as much as you can because letting it tighten up makes it hurt worse. Mine is pretty bad in the morning because I’ve stiffened up overnight. I have a support band that helps. Still discuss it with your doctor.
I had pelvic pressure with my first one. I carried low so I’m assuming that’s why. When I would start to feel pressure I’d sit down in a recliner with my feet up for about 20 minutes. Then I was good to go for another 2-3 hours. I had three children but the pelvic pressure was only with my first. When I went into labor my contractions were all in my back. Good luck with your baby.
Definitely talk to your doctor. It happened to me and I had a bladder and urinary tract infection. It felt like he was going to fall out every time I walked. Got medicine and was a whole lot better.
I had tons of pressure with number 3. She was born at 32 weeks. My doctor didn’t listen or recommend anything. When I got pregnant 8 years later (after a miscarriage) I immediately made an appts with a high risk specialist and was started on hormones and later a terbutaline pump and bed rest until delivery. My last was still born at 32 weeks just like the other one but was never admitted to the nicu.
Happened during my third pregnancy. Baby settled low and it was just my reality. Don’t miss your appointment because it is always better to be safe than sorry, but don’t panic as it is likely nothing to alarm yourself with.
I had the same experience from the 2nd trimesters on… it happens to some women I had to wear a very supportive back/ belly brace to help relive some of the pressure but it can get very painful
This is what my Braxton hicks contractions felt like with my first, starting around 16 weeks
I felt like my 3 rd was about to come out for at least the last 20 weeks of my pregnancy
For sure talk to your Dr. I did at 12 weeks and miscarried.
maybe its more than one baby in there.
My last two pregnancies were super low and I did feel like that the whole time. But that was me…this is definitely a question to ask your doctor in person!
Anything abnormal should b reported to ur dr immediately!
I want to know what you find out.
Could be uti, or even slight constipation
Felt it with my 3rd baby early on … it hurt so bad to stand bc of it, it felt like he was coming out . I ended up going into labor at 35 weeks, luckily they stopped it and was able to go to 39 weeks …
What may be perfectly normal for one woman may not be for another. I wouldn’t take any chances; call your doctor.
Still need to call dr. But yea I felt them too. Especially with my second.
Call and ask for a virtual appointment if you cant get in due to weather. I know the doctors I work for do them in many cases.
Please go and see your doctor
Let them take a cat scan or etc
Only a doctor and the right test can answer your questions
Dear heart you might have a bladder infection, get checked out soon⚘
Could be fibroids… ck with dr
If you can’t keep that appointment due to weather.
Call his office, and go from there.
Call doctor ASAP could be pre term labor
Go to your hospital and call your doctor.
Talk talk to your doctor! Why wpuld you not have called them already? The internet is great but not for this!
I had that issue and went a few days later to a clinic that said to go to the ER, I was having a miscarraige… Who told me to go home and I would pass a little bit of stuff eventually… WRONG… Went into full labor and at the ER, when I finally got into a room, delivered a full term miscarraige!
I would go to the ER, but since Covid… I would definitely contact my doctor’s emergency line!
Go to your doctor appointment
U need to call ur doctor and rest
My doctor said you will feel everything more intense with your 2nd and 3rd and so on pregnancies. Also, just get checked, have them measure your cervix at your next appointment to make sure you don’t have a shortened cervix. I carried my 1st daughter with no issues, but this pregnancy (getting ready to go in now and have her) they told me my cervix was too short and continued to shorten end I needed a cervical stitch. I was feeling a lot of pressure at 17 weeks too. It’s just good to to it over with your doctor or midwife. Good luck!
I felt that way with my third from 15 weeks till the end. Like when you have your period and have a tampon in. Just an achy pressure. I was checked out and nothing out of the ordinary was seen. Swimming helped alleviate it (it was summer second and some of third trimesters). It would hurt to stand sometimes, so I would often sit or take breaks at work.
With my 2nd-5th pregnancies I felt everything sooner by my 5th child o honestly spent my 2nd and 3rd trimesters feeling like the baby was gonna fall out every time I stood up because of all the pressure
Seems a little early but I know it happens earlier with every pregnancy. So probably perfectly normal but still would get it checked.
You really shouldn’t have that much pressure at 17 weeks. Get checked out asap.
My daughter started feeling pressure and went for another altra sound and found out she was carrying twins babies found in December came 29th of march older mothers have better chance of having multibles its a fact
If you cant make appt at least call your doc an ask about this.
Call your Dr. now. Baby might be dropping into pelvis structure earlier than usual you need to be seen. Can you get to Emergency room tonight?thy will check you, decide, and tell you farbetter than any of us. Have you had an ultrasound yet? Call Er tell them you Are coming in. Now.
Round ligament pain becomes worse with each pregnancy
If you have already had 2 children. It’s probably varicosities in the vagina. Do you have hemorrhoids or varicose veins?
That’s a question for your dr
I felt it at 12 weeks the pain was so bad they thought I was miscarryingnit was the muscles on my back, and stomach stretching as I was a very small person at the time. Please mention to your doctor though to be sure
