Is it normal to get crampy when you ovulate?

I always knew it was a thing but never experienced it until my cycles started again after having my baby. Now every cycle I get crampy and almost tender over whichever ovary is ovulating

Yep, I always get crampy during ovulation, it’s great for the fact I know my body well enough to know to be carful during that time of the month but also sucks cuz of how painful/annoying it can be for usually just a few hours. I don’t think I really got cramps during ovulation till after I had kids, either that or I just never knew that’s what it was till I was older.

Yes. I had this too after I had my son

Things can be different after having a baby, but yes completely normal. You may even spot a bit.

That’s the only time I get crampy, is when I’m ovulating.

Yes very common. Bloating and crampy. Could also be cysts!

My ovulation cramps got so severe I would double over, vomit, and sometimes pass out. I have stage 4 endometriosis. My first doctor said endo was impossible because my cycles were normal and cramping was minimal and my only problem was excruciating ovulation pain and to just take birth control. My second opinion scheduled me for an ultrasound which found my ovary had attached to my uterus and I’m scheduled to have my ovary removed on Monday.

I get very crampy when I ovulate due to me having cysts on my ovaries. I would definitely get checked by a doctor to make sure you don’t have cysts or anything else going on

Yes after I turned 30 I started cramping and breaking out during ovulation

Its common but remember ladies it is not normal for your period to be painful if it it there’s underlining issues like cysts etc so if any doctor says it’s normal tell them you want tests done your entitled to it’s your bodies and we are not supposed to be in extreme pain, cramps yes but pain that’s interrupts normal daily life is definitely not

I had my tubes done at delivery of my last bub and ovulation pain is soooo bad now.v
