Is insomnia during pregnancy a thing?? I’m 18 weeks and just can’t sleep. I’m exhausted but sleep just doesn’t happen. Today I’m running on 3 1/2 hours of sleep, had a 8 hour work day with my almost 3 year old at home with me…mommas beat!
With my second daughter I could nap during the day but barely slept at night. I also had terrible restless leg syndrome at night.
Our bodies are amazing things. Its preparing you for what’s to come. I swear with all 3 of my kids the times I woke up at night was the times they ended up waking up.
Yes. Mama life. No sleep for the next 2 years.
Pregnancy is a crazy thing. I happen to be pregnant during a really bad snow storm in the middle of winter yet somehow I was sweating my ass off enough that I had pushed my bed up against a window and had the window wide open all night
I slept more and was less tired after having my baby. I had insomnia, restless legs, needed to pee every 30 minutes because I needed to drink 1/2-1 gallon of water throughout the night. Once I was more healed from my csection and everything I felt wayyy better. I could sleep, didn’t need a whole gallon of water every night so I didn’t need to get up to pee. I slept more and better lol.
I can’t sleep at all and it’s just getting worse the farther along I get haha. I’m 34 weeks and have an almost 3 year old too, and two step kids at home age 5 and 7. Also working 8 hour days. I’m super beat. I’ve started to lay the kids to bed earlier around 8:30 and just going straight to my bed too. Using lots of pillows, keeping the house cool, and a fan blowing in my face in the pitch dark. I think insomnia is perfectly normal! It’s much worse this pregnancy for me than it was with my first pregnancy though
Yes! I couldn’t sleep at all and I still can’t 2 years later. My mind just won’t shut down.
Yeap.
Put the phone down. Make the room cold. Sound machine. Full belly.
