my happy lil girl just turned 3mos, and is supporting herself sitting up like this for longer periods of time. Is her sitting in a highchair or normal stroller too early? What about an exersaucer? Obviously monitored closely-I’m always right next to her ha! She really doesn’t want to lay down for very long anymore and wants to be up and playing and watching me.
You can get a bouncer chair or swing. Sat up long periods isn’t good for their backs so soon. It’s like in a car seat shouldn’t be in for long periods. The bouncer or swing lays but isn’t fully laying like a crib so maybe an option but shouldn’t be in them long.
My 5 month old grandson is the same, I try to move him around from the crib to the seat to the swing to the stroller when we’re outside playing. I think it’s ok as long as they aren’t in the same position too long. Half hour to an hour if he’s happy
My 3rd kiddo is 6 months and once he found out he could sit up at all, that’s all he wanted to do. He just started sitting totally unassisted right before he hit 6 months, and can go from crawling position to sitting by himself. As long as you’re providing the support she needs, there’s no harm in letting her sit for small periods of time.
