IS there a way to delay my period?

My husband and I are going on a 10 day vacation in February, no kids, and my period tracker says I will probably have my period while on vacation, which I don’t want, for obvious reasons. Lol. Is there any way I can either delay my period or try to change the timing of it?

If you’re on BC pills you could. My GYN advised that I could continue onto a new pack of pills, ignoring the placebos, to delay my cycle occasionally.

You could go on the pill and then skip your period using it :woman_shrugging:t2:

I did when I was on birth control pills. Instead of doing the 7 day break you just start a new pack of pills. I did it like that for years.

Every time I’m due at a really bad time I’ve just gotten a GP to give me a prescription for period blockers.

Get a depo shot or some sort of bc there are plenty of options if you don’t want it long term.

Instead of taking the sugar pills at the end of your birth control skip it and start taking your birth control again like it’s another month

Whatever you do, do NOT get the depo shot, it has horrible side effects and can cause some serious chaos, if anything try Yaz or a pill of some sort!

You can get a prescription for the mini pill. If it’s just that it’s heavy, ask for tranexemic acid. It won’t delay it but it will make it lighter. One tablet can stop mine completely.

Wisp offers a pill called norethindrone. You start taking it a couple days before your expected period and throughout your period. I think there was enough for 10 days total. Worked well for me and no side effects while taking it. Started 3 days after I quit taking it. Its around $80 and they deliver it.

You could also use the pill when on the red pill skip it and use only the white pills

I have a nexplanon and get a period like 2x a year.

Also if you’re using pills you can skip the week you’d have your period (the placebo pills) and start a new pack.
Most doctors say it’s completely fine.

I went and got pills from my doctor gor my honeymoon. It worked. But the next month was a really bad period.

This is actually legit I’ve done it multiple times. You have to answer some questions and an actual MD reviews it and sends a script to whatever pharmacy you list. I’ve had my period for every vacation we’ve taken and I got mad and found this site when googling how to stop my period lol. You have to start it a few days prior and I think it’s 3x a day if I remember correctly but it works and you just start your period when you stop taking it.

I actually just did this, we’re leaving next week to go on a big trip and I was supposed to have my period. I went to my gynecologist and he gave me some bc pills and it worked I delayed it over a week

Yes…there are pills you take several days before you’re suppose to start. I take it when we go away . Norethindrone
