My 10 month old has a rash...advice?

Help! Advice mommas please ! My 10 month old got his first rash. He is teething and got watery poop for 2 dads. I believe that was the cause. We caught it early and doc sent in nystatin cream and powder. We are using both since yesterday. Today he seems the same!! No improvement. He cries during change. Im doing washcloth with water only no wipes. Patting dry. Im thinking of using a&d or boudreaux cream instead. I’m getting cloth diapers soon too ! Should i continue the medication?

Butt paste, or udder balm!

Could be a yeast infection or it could be the diapers. Did you recently change diaper brands? My kids could only use Huggies because all others would give them a really bad rash. If it may be a yeast infection, I would suggest calling your child’s doctor and ask for a stronger yeast infection prescription.

Baking soda in bath water.

Soak in top with baking soda

Corn starch will clear that right up.

Desitin cream mixed with a bit of lotrimin (athlete’s foot cream) it will clear it up within a couple uses

Sudocrem worked great for my kiddos.

Coconut oil works great or breastmilk applied directly or in a bath always worked for my little

Bepanthan works great for nappy rash resistant to zinc cream

Corn starch at every diaper change it will clear in no time

I always used Destin for my son who was allergic to everything. Nysatin cream never worked for us. If you get a chance to let him go bare bottom for a while do it.

Soak in a few inches of warm water with ¼-½ box of baking soda mixed in, air dry completely and cover rash with milk of magnesia. This pulls the acid causing the rash out and dries it up. Clean area, dry completely and Apply milk of magnesia every diaper change. This should dry it up in a couple days.

Triple paste is the only thing that worked for my daughter

My son was the same the only thing that worked was Aquaphor the ointment not the cream, it is a miracle and will work at the least two days, if the rash is bad. If it’s just red it’ll work in one day. Hand to God I swear by it. Just try it. It’s at Walmart I buy the big one it’s like $12. Please try it you’ll never need anything else, now if it’s a fungal rash diaper cream won’t work but you can use any antifungal cream and it will work. Always wash your baby’s clothes separate from your own, any infection or bacteria can pass from your clothes to his.
