My 11-month-olds toenails break often: Advice?

My little girl is 11 months old. Her toenails seem to break often and her pinky toe grows in a weird way. But her one big toe nail is broke in half. It’s attached and doesn’t seem to bother her any but is there anything I can do to it or her nails to keep them from breaking?

Following…
My sons do the same and the doctor doesnt seem to know why

My daughter her really weird toenails , like they dip and grow in weird ways as well as split . I used nail moisturising cream on them as well as kept them well clipped . They still grow weird but no longer split :slightly_smiling_face:

Baby’s nails are very fragile they break/tear easily. I usually just use a nail file and file the nail as they grow. And if there’s a lot of growth and I feel I can cut it with a nail clipper I will but mostly I trust the nail file more.

Also reduce the amount of time they spend in the bath , the longer they are wet the more brittle they will become :slightly_smiling_face:

Vitamin D… Calcium makes nails grow harder. Feed lots of milk, cheese, dairy, green veggies etc. Etc… All full of calcium.
