My 13 month old chews his teeth

Omg how do I get my 13 month old to stop “chewing “ his teeth. It’s not when he’s sleeping. When he’s awake. And he laughs when I tell him stop and shoving a teether in his mouth when it’s happing doesn’t help. My third. And the others never did this. I want to cringe and I’m freaking out that he’s hurting his mouth

Get rid of the “teether”. Ignore him. He’ll stop eventually.

This is normal behavior and it’s called Bruxism and it’s because your child is trying to relieve pain from when his teeth is cutting thru his gums and he could be exploring his new teeth too. And he’s not hurting his mouth.

There is nothing wrong with a teether or something to chew on like a toy but really…shoving a teether in there to stop him? Come on. It’s your third? Doesn’t matter if your other kids did it or not. And laughs? It’s annoying you so it’s funny. I’d laugh too. Maybe he doesn’t like what you gave him to chew on? It shouldn’t be hurting him. it maybe feels funny/different as it’s new. Just relax. Get over it
