Anyone elses 8 year old absolutely despise brushing their teeth? Its been such a struggle for us and idk what to do anymore…

Personal hygiene in our house is something that isn’t negotiable. It has to happen. I’m very blunt regarding not brushing what happens to your teeth etc
I tell my kids the truth. If you don’t take care of them, you won’t have any and I get to nickname you Gummy Bear. 
My 8 year old complains about doing anything. 
Show him people with no teeth. Or people with yellow or black teeth
Get him a battery powered toothbrush I bought my granddaughter one, she cut teeth at 3 months, at her 3 year check up, not 1 cavity and she loves her tooth brush.
