My daughter gets horrible stomach pains that her doctor does not seem concerned about: Advice?

Anxiety, Gluten intolerance or celiac, lack of good bacteria in her gut, etc. So many things it could be, please find a different doctor who listens.

Track the date and days, what is going on during that time around her, and last but not least give her a diet friendly (start with ONE removal at a time every 2 weeks to eliminate if certain foods are causing this). Check her temp daily for a spike near the upset. THIS IS ALL INFORMATION that you can relay to a doctor so they can better test for what is causing this. As parents we have to do the time and info and then give it to them. I won against the state when a doctor decided to report me, when I was done they lost 3 caseworkers, 2 lawyers and was wanting to make a deal with me, even the judge said I was smarter than they were. Trust me when I say dot your I’s and cross your T’s, too many visits to the ER can/will raise red flags…do some homework then take her to family doctor. Make sure she drinking plenty of fluids and eating fiber so not to be constipated either. If you have to record her poops, anything you document can help. Does she have headaches at the time before nausea? Good Luck.

And doctors don’t take the time to find out what’s wrong so you have to go through more than one doctor because I did and my daughter ended up having gastroparesis her stomach is paralyzed cuz no doctors wanted to believe anything was wrong with her so it got way worse

Get her tested for Helicobacter Pylori. It is a bacteria that can be caught from a food or dirty water. My daughter had it and she had stomach problems and also diarrhea a lot.She had nausea and bad stomach pain every day. Simple little blood test.Treatment is 2 antibiotics and Prilosec for like 10 days.Definitely take her to a new doctor.

Maybe try n figure out what she eats before those episodes and cut some foods out of her diet. 1 at a time. For a week at a time.

New Dr if your not being listen too. Sorry your child isn’t feeling good. Good luck hope you find answers

My son use to have stomach problems and headaches at that age vomiting, it was his nerves. My husband and I were very young and didn’t think about the arguing between us affected him. I could kick myself now. He is a grown man and has always had stomach issues, my fault

try mirilax for two weeks my youngest has the same issue . it will take a few days to work but it definitely will help

Could be a lot of things. I’m not saying to not get it checked out…But…constipation keeps coming up? More water. Maybe she doesn’t like pooping…my friends child was this way.

See if she is being bullies or rest die juvenile migraine. My young one had both those options when she had unexplained tummy pain

I would try cutting out Gluten it’s clearly not the lactose. See if that helps but I would look into a gastroenterologist and get a new pediatrician the. Report your old one for not listening to your concerns especially if they do find something.

My Daughter was like this, found out she was Gluten intolerant, after going gluten free shes completely fine.

I suggest you see a doctor to get her tested.

Her Dr. doesn’t ever seem to take it seriously… new dr

Crohn’s or colitis, I suffered for a year and they only found I had it when I was rushed into ER and then they took my appendix out, nothing wrong with my appendix but they found crohn’s in my small bowel.

I’d go to a specialist and I’d get a different pediatrician

Get a 2nd opinion. It is your right to have one. Don’t worry what your doctor thinks by getting another doctor’s opinion.

I agree surprised your dr did not refer you to one

Sound like Chrohns…please get her a new physician

She sounds like she could possibly have IBS with constipation. I’ve been doing that since I was 4 years old I am almost 50 and still have the problem

get a new doctor or take her to an er where they will give her an ultra sound. When any of my kids doctors didnt take us serious I wouldnt leave their office until they ordered tests. One doctor, I told him " It sounds like you were going to send us home without doing anything for my child! How horrible it would be if it turns out to be something serious." and it worked like a charm. You know the saying, a squeaky wheel gets oiled. You have to fight for your child, nobody else will.

She could be lactose intolerant. Had the same thing with my daughter,Took years to discover it.

When my daughter was little she would throw up and have upset stomach. I narrowed it down to store bought spaghetti sauce. I started making my own and she never had that problem again. So it’s possible your daughter is allergic to something in her food like certain preservatives or other ingredients in her food. Just something to check . Sorry she is going through this I know it’s awful when our children aren’t feeling well.

This may seem a little off but ask her how her head feels or pay attention for her holding her head or squinting… It took me 5 years of searching my stomach for whatever was making me sick to my stomach as if I had the flu only to discover it was migraines. I had considered the pain in my head normal and wasn’t able to identify I always had a headache… But sometimes it became a migraine causing me puke my gots out for days.
Smells, light, noise, all bothered me during my episodes. I would be holding me head and unable to think straight and kinda dizzy… Worth considering cause doctors very rarely take that route
