So my daughter (almost 2) rubs her head on the sheets to self soothe at night. Well it’s gotten to the point where the front of her hair is extremely matted in the am. Any suggestions on what I can put in her hair at night to keep it from getting matted? We do conditioner and detangle spray but I think she’s doing it so much right now that isn’t even working anymore.
Maybe braid it, or you could try a scarf or a bonnet! Maybe even a silk pillow case that way there isn’t as much friction.
My ten yr old has sensory issues and he is a rough sleeper …his hair in the back gets knotted, we do detangler soon as he gets up, now shower before bed, and I use Pantene or loreal conditioner for dry damaged hair. And we have a satin pillow case. His hair is down past his shoulders so it’s very long and has natural wave to it.
Try Satin a satin pillow. They all have Satin head coverings to sleep in. She maybe to young for all of that though.
Leave in conditioner, detangler.
A satin pillow, bonnet will help.
CC Mink Hair
Braid it for sure and you can always use a night cap or bonnet for her.
Silk bonnet with a silk pillowcase.
Satin pillow maybe or sating bonnet.
Try coddling her to sleep for a few months she’s missed some time she needed. Rub her back face or head for her and it can help alleviate her doing it.
Braid it , use a silk kids bonnet, and a silk pillow case.
My babies hair is really curly and i dont know what im doing wrong but his hair is so frizzy and tangled after… satin doesnt help for him
That is stemming, get her evaluated for autism or ADHD. I also agree with either satin/silk bonnets (very good for protecting hair) sheets and or pillowcase.
Get her a satin pillow case
My daughter used to do that and we got her a satin pillow case. She loved it and it helped a lot. Called it her big girl pillow case
Coconut oil at bedtime! It won’t transfer to sheets
Satin pillow case, satin sheets, and probably a bonnet. If she doesn’t leave that on, maybe just a nice easy braid. You could even put the braid in a sock & see if that stays overnight!
Try leaving or dry spray conditioner or try Moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner
A bonnet might work. Braid it.
A hair oil avocado, coconut, jojoba
