I haven’t worked since December 1st due to an emergency back surgery. Times have been really tough as a single momma,but my daughter made me the best card you’ve ever seen with pictures of us and a little ribbon tied like a bow. She is 12 and doesn’t have resources, but what she had she gave and I’m grateful. She has the best heart in the world!
I used to do this when I was married. Huff and puff about not getting anything and then when I did it wasn’t the “right” thing. Guess what, he’s remarried and truly happy. Me? I had a lot of work to do and I lost, big. Don’t be me.

I feel like…this is why he doesn’t make the effort on mothers day. Look what happens when he does. Just smile and say you love it. Wear the pj’s when you don’t care if they get dirty, like if you’re ever scrubbing something with bleach. But be appreciative bc my Mama always told me, nobody has to get you a damn thing, ever, for any reason. So please look at what you have, appreciate it.
