Well that’s kind of next level mental. Anytime a man does something stupid like this it’s a 200% of the time because he has some sort of interpersonal problem and doesn’t know how to deal with things. So it’s not you. You are allowed to feel upset or grossed out or wonder about his overall mental health where making characters sexualized seems like a normal or good idea. I would talk to him. This could be an extension of a type of online addiction which is a problem if it’s interfering with real life relationships or he prefers the online relationships or needs the online part to get hard, stay hard or to finish. So again talk to him and maybe couples counseling is going to be your next step to get yourselves back on track.

This is one of the games and it is a dating game. Yes people do get naked and have sex in these games. They get emotionally attached. Its like sims but more realistic and you can actually get naked and all the private parts do exactly what real sex does.
They have weddings. They have children in these games. They create families and it becomes addicting. I know this because my girlfriend, here… ruined her marriage in falling in love with someone from the game.
You can create an avatar and be whoever you want to be in these games.
I would consider this cheating and its definitely not okay. I don’t think people know the extent of it. They take their game relationships to real life where they start to video chat and talk on the phone through other apps. Then, they want to fly across the world and meet up.

But you said so yourself that it’s NPC’s (which seriously suggests the sims 4 to me, I do what your husband does and my boyfriend has no issues with it at all because it’s a game) for those commenting who do not know what NPC’s are, Non Player Characters. Meaning they’re computerized entirely. Not made by another player.

I hope during your talk you asked him why he feels the need to have the mod in the game? Maybe there’s a deeper meaning. For example, maybe he isn’t feeling like he is enough for you lately (hence the decrease in intimacy) and knows he can’t “fail” in the game. (JUST an example)
