Not sure where else to ask, hubs is getting a vasectomy he doesn’t have insurance at the moment so it’s out of pocket. How do yall handle large medical expenses all at once?
You talk to them about payment. Most places have a sliding scale & a payment option. Some will let you pay in advance.
Just remember medical debt is pretty much the only debt that can’t be “passed on”, give them $25 a month, be consistent and call it a day. Healthcare is a joke!
If you have an HSA or an FSA you can have the money tax free from your gross income you can put the money in that account from your payroll check every week until you have enough 100% deductible. At least medical cap amounts.
Perhaps get health insurance coverage? Or set up a payment plan.
Sometimes doctors’ offices will cut you a break on costs if they can avoid the insurance rigamarole. Are you ineligible for Medicaid or Obamacare (the Affordable Care Act)?
Payment plan if available
