My husband makes our 9 and 13 year old do yard work: Is that okay?

Um HELL YES THEY NEED CHORES! Kids need to learn responsibility when did that change?

I think it’s great!! My kids helped with mowing, weed eating, vacuuming, dusting. Whatever needed to be done.:woman_shrugging:

I was doing that and more as a kid. They will learn an important skill for later.

We had to mow and shovel snow and of
course that was the
“Olden days” but we were taught how things
Work and THERE WAS NO HORSING AROUND!

No ma’am. I had to cut grass, rake up grass, wash cars, pick up cans, pick up trash from out of the yard, and much more as a kid. My son started helping me do housework at three years old. No I didn’t make him start at that age. He just really wanted to help. He’s nine now and I have him cooking. He’s pretty much self sufficient with everything at 9.
