My moms dog bit my son: Am I wrong for thinking they should do something about it?

Maybe you should try and ask them to keep the dog outside while you are there

They can put the dog in the bedroom and shut the door.

The dog can be kenneled while you kids are there. If they can’t do that then say you can’t visit. Holding the dog “accountable” is ridiculous… your parents are responsible for the dog. And as a registered veterinary technician for over 30 years I can tell you that some animals simply not suited to be around kids and if it was my kid we would not be doing any reintroductions … period!

At least confine the dog while you are there

Don’t take your son there unless the put him in a kennel while you visit.

Question? How old is your son and was he aggravating the dog?

Cut ties. Who’s more important? Your kid or their dog?

Ok, after reading some of the comments I’ll be the o e to ask–did the kid ever do anything to the dog?

Your mom needs to keep the dog away from your child.

Don’t take the kid over.or keep the dog away when you are.

Tell them they have to put the dog up when you are there

Parents would be coming to your house then

They want to see you and your son they need to go to your place

Why are you bringing your child into a dangerous situation?

I wouldn’t go back until they did something

Put the dog up when the grandchildren are there

It needs to be fastened up when anyone comes to that house.

What kind of dog is it?

Home owners insurance should pay for medical bills

Their home owners insurance should cover it.

Why don’t they just put it into a different room while you were there?

Your son is most likely the issue and deserves it. Lesson learned.

Children have to. Come. First .

What did the kid do to the dog?

I would have them come to my place instead…

They should file a claim with their home insurance

Don’t go there. Your son come first.

They should pay the bill and get rid of that dog

How old is your son and the dog?

They cost about $15.00.

Why can’t they.put the dog away.or meet you on friendlier ground?

I just say praying for you all sweet. Little guy doesn’t need to see the dog if he Don t want to.

Oh Hell NO! I love my dogs but grandbabies will ALWAYS come first!

Did your mom get rid of you for being bad?

Don’t visit & see if they can come to you. Or meet up elsewhere.

Contact animal control, they will handle it. Otherwise, don’t go back until the dog is gone.

Talk to your mom that when you come over that you need to keep them apart you cant take the chance

Stay away if the dog is more important than your son

Dont take your child back there.

Don’t ask me details, but a dog bites a kid and it’s gone.

Just keep the kids and dog separated.
