Two months after my daughter Was born me and my partner found out that his mom and step dad are going on holiday the week of her birthday with their kids. She laughed it off and said she forgot she couldn’t even tell me when her first granddaughter birthday is. She found it funny that she will be on a nice sunny beach On her birthday. What should I say to her , I want my child to have both of her grandparents to be in her life but she never even talks to us unless she gains something out of it. What do I do?

I would just take what you can get from her. If she only wants little contact than just do little. If she doesn’t make the time to come to celebrate her grandchildren then that’s fine too. But you can also give the same amount back. Don’t go out of your way to include her but also try not to be vindictive. You can only take what she gives even if its not much.
