So I had a phone call conference with my son’s kindergarten teacher and she said he’s really falling behind on letters and phonics of pronunciation . He’s 5 and started school late in October due to us moving and paperwork and finding a spot for him he did go to prek but was ran out of his daycare in a different state. But his teacher wants to get him tested and I do think it would be beneficial for us to pin point some things , we read and try to do activities that help promote pronunciation and identification of letters paper work and hands on activities like reading and letter blocks. He also has trouble focusing and sitting still . Has anyone else had anything similar and if so any advice I can have to help him stay focused in school and absorb what he’s being taught. It’s just hard for him to focus and he’s just having struggles with the language arts aspect of school. I know everyone learns at their own pace but I feel like I’m not doing enough. Any advice ?
There’s not one thing wrong with your kid. Some are just too young to be in school. He’s only 5. Don’t worry about it
