What do I do when my baby (20 months) needs her medicine but pukes up EVERYTHING that touches her stomach
Try putting it in a little juice
Give her something to fill her stomach before the meds. Like crackers or dry toast. I get sick when I take certain meds without food.
Ask dr to try cefdinir it taste like a strawberry milkshake. It’s the ONLY thing my kids will get down and stay down
I would ask why and what medicine? Her body could be rejecting it for a reason.
Mine pukes up the children’s Panadol every time but can stomach the orange Dymadon so I’d see the chemist about a different brand or approach- maybe it can be a suppository?
Mix it with her favorite juice or even tea, I have 3 kiddos and they all 3 done the same thing when giving them medicine. Now that they are a bit older the only one that still has that problem is my oldest
Herbs… feed her better foods. Sunlight. Time outside.
Idk why someone would find that funny…
Like throws up everything right now because she’s sick or just can’t take the medicine? Mine could not take liquid meds when she was little, she’d drink it and immediately gag and puke. If she was really sick she had to have antibiotics in shots and for fever I had to do suppositories until she learned to swallow a pill.
My 5 year old son does this too, his doctor chalked it up to he just doesn’t like the medicine, he does much better with pills
Could be the taste of it making her throw it back up but also try giving something to eat with her meds cuz some meds u need to eat with. My oldest has always fought meds my son is more willing to take it. We use to put it in her cup or little at a time she would fight u or spit it back out. Now our twins one baby I give her gripe water I’ll draw it up with the medicine dispenser then we take a nipple to one of their bottles n put her medicine in it n she takes it
You talk to her doctor asap. If she been prescribed meds and isn’t getting them then the doctor should know. Hop off of FB and call them asap.
