My 14 month old is obsessed with hair. She will find hair or string in the carpet, ect and sit and play with it, study it, and then put it in her mouth and I guess suck on it? I don’t think she is actually swallowing the hair or strings, because I have not found anything in her diapers. But I also could not be looking very thoroughly either. When I try to take the strands of hair or strings away from her she throws a fit, and then proceeds to find another hair shortly later and do the same thing. She does it all day long. It’s not just at certain times of the day. If there is a hair or string she will find it. I just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this with their kids of if there is something I should be doing. I was planning on brining it up to her pediatrician at her apt this month. TIA

Ours loves to pull her dolls hair out.
I wouldn’t worry about it . Maybe buy her a baby doll with hair and a brush so she can play with that and give her a soft brush for her own hair .
She is a child. You are the adult you do what is best for the child.
