My uncle buys his 13 year old cigarettes: Can I lose my kids?

My uncle is buying cigarettes for his 13 yr kid. I currently live with than with my children. Can I get into trouble if they get caught? I already told my uncle the concerns with it, and he doesn’t care. He also allows her to smoke pot with him, and neither has a license. I have four kids and don’t agree with any of them. Anyone have any advice. My living arrangements are only temporary, maybe another six months. If the state gets called, will they take my kids? Will I get in legal trouble for it?

I am sorry to hear about your tough spot. After all you do for everyone in your household you would expect some support. Uncle needs to band with you to run the house in a healthy environment for everyone. Smoking and drugs are not healthy for anyone. Cut it off.Smoking only outside. No child present around the smoke" even outside.Tge kids need to be occupied at all times including down time. Meet regularly to discuss the home environment and the healthy environment you are builfibg. Lay down the rules and adhere to it. Celebrate win-win situations and personal achuevements. Make home fun, clean, and relaxing w/o the smoke and illegal stuff.

You are going to get brutally attacked in the comments. But honestly it’s illegal and yes you are witnessing it and can be as in as much fault if anything happens to the child. I would report it to be safe and let it runs it course from their. Also take picture of the report and document all info so you have proof that you made the effort to do something about it

This is so damn stupid, can’t believe someone would have to go on FB & ask strangers what to do. If you don’t know the answer already I have to question your parenting ability !! SMH

Call the CPS anonymous to report this…
Just say your child friend said his dad does this.
They’ll never know it came from the house.
He’ll just think his child talked to a friend about ,

Yes you can’t get in trouble for this. You should call authorities on him so he could get in trouble the one that’s contributing to the children.also you can get in trouble because you are not having your children in a safe environment.

You can get in trouble for knowing and not reporting it.

Different states have different laws. Look up your states law on Google. I would freak out myself in that situation.

Yes you can get in trouble for this it did not come out the way I wanted to come out. But yes you can’t get in trouble for this

You will be considered as a accomplice…

WHY would you have allowed it in the first place. Your as much to blame. Especially because you knew…you still know and have done absolutely nothing about it!

You are obligated to report this to child protection services.
If you kids mention it to another adult, or is over heard by another adult(teacher, friends parent, church member, neighbors) , they are required to report to child protection.
And , yes, your kids will be removed.

To add to this-I would have to wonder, what kind of sick relationship would a father have wth his 13 year old that he would buy illegal drugs for a bad actually partake in this with? Just a thought…

Are you a idiot! Of course your screwed! What a dumb question!:rofl:
