Hellllo mommas! I need breakfast ideas!? My kids are tired of pancakes and French toast. I’m stuck in ideas. They don’t like breakfast casseroles or oatmeal.

Creamed chipped beef, biscuits and sausage gravy, grits with butter & syrup or bacon & cheddar, quinoa, breakfast pizzas, cream of wheat, fruit bowl, cinnamon toast, miso soup, coffee cake & breakfast pastry including donuts (in moderation). Plain yogurt with fresh or dried fruit, nuts, granola or Grape Nuts, even a few dark chocolate chips; or layer it all in a breakfast parfait. Steak & potatoes. Omelets filled with ham, bacon, sausage, sliced hot dogs, cheese, salsa, spinach or other greens, broccoli bits, shredded carrots—whatever they’ll eat. Cheese soufflé. Quiche: Add eggs, (Gruyere, Swiss or Emmental) cheese, onions, then ham & bacon for the classic Lorraine, or spinach & artichoke hearts, mushrooms & cream cheese, or whatever you want. Stouffer’s makes a frozen spinach soufflé that’s microwaveable, so easy. Granola or other breakfast bars, healthier boxed cereals. Smoothies or Carnation Instant Breakfast.

You don’t have to eat breakfast food for breakfast, so lunch & dinner foods are fine or charcuterie plate, loaded baked potatoes, veggies & dip. Make thin crepes by doubling the milk/water in a Bisquick pancake recipe & fill with whatever you like. Ham, asparagus and Hollandaise make a good combo; so does white sauce, onions, shredded chicken and tarragon. My mom used to make me soup of milk, butter, egg noodles and salt—I think it’s a Pennsylvania Dutch recipe. Make actual rice pudding or just add milk, cinnamon and a sweetener (like honey, maple syrup, brown sugar, agave nectar), cinnamon & raisins to cooked rice—great for leftovers—stir & eat cold or warm.

Are we not.giving kids cereal anymore?
