You all I’m having such a hard idea with Christmas ideas for my three-year-old daughter. She loves baby dolls, but she has literally everything you could imagine for them. What’re some things your littles are into that maybe I can introduce to her.
Our girls love to draw/color/paint so we get them art kits and they have an Olaf play dough set. They also love to push around shopping carts and stuff.
My daughter too but i buy her everything i see lol
Does she like to help you in the kitchen? With chores? Maybe toy kitchen appliances, pots and pans etc.
when my daughter was that age we bought her a play kitchen set with all kinds of play food to go with it and the little pots and pans to go with it. I would buy her things to go with the baby dolls such as baby doll cribs they’re closed or food all of that. she was a My Generation Girl so we was buying My Generation stuff which can be very expensive but there is some ideas
My go to for all gifts especially little ones is books. My kids and my grandkids always loved their books. They even pass them down to the younger ones.
Does she like to help in the kitchen? They make real cooking tools for kids that are easy/safe and colorful. There are also boxes like little passports that teaches about different countries, similarly there are stem and cooking boxes that can be mailed directly to her. Fun hair bows/headbands/hand mirror so she can start to style her own hair, my four year old just asked for a cd player to have music in his room… playdough always wins, I second the art kits too
Buy waterpark passes, aquarium passes, zoo passes or go to Disney world for a weekend in December.
My girls love their toy kitchen even the 9 year old, lol
Toy kitchen, washable soft play food (much kinder to feet than wood or plastic! ), a microwave, a washing machine, a shopping till and trolley, a three wheel scooter, a double dolly buggy (tandem three wheeler one is great).
We do the little people stuff along with the large magnetics and the wall decals our kids love those.
How about something that I’ll start to stimulate in her mind. Puzzles and painting are fun.
Heres what I’ve done this year. Everytime we go to target or meijers we swing through toys.
So example. My son has played with a jurrasic park trex the last 3 times we have gone. So I took a picture of him with it and said I was texting santa. Then on another visit he played with another toy several different visits.
Takes forever but hes essentially picked out his own presents.
We are at an octonauts play set. A jack skellington plush, a nightmare before Christmas throw. Jurrasic park trex. A shark figure thing. Some small random trinket crap for a small stocking.
I just need to go get 2 more jurrasic park dinosaurs and hes all done. Hes picked it all out himself.
I created a mindfulness, empowering little treasure chest for girls, a unicorn and a mermaid theme one. It has a beautiful empowering colouring books and lots of premium components. Mini me and I worked on this project for a long time. Send me a message if you would like to be a tester before they get to amazon. We also make first music boxes with dainty little jewelry! I’ll leave you some pics.
does she have american girl doll and theres a younger version of her my daughter loved hers
I plan to get my daughter color wonder art stuff. It only colors on special paper.
Play kitchen picnic basket. Shopping cart where the doll can sit in it. Matching pjs/robe with doll. Seat for doll to attach to bicycle. Play make up. Magnetiles. My 3yo wants blinger. I got her a mermaid tail with a doll size to match. Besides the stroller, crib, high chair… my daughter has twin dolls that came with a double sided swing, kind of like a seesaw.
My little pony. Dress up supplies. Puzzles!
Pretend play things like a kitchen, tools etc. Learning toys like leap frog/ vtech. Puzzles, anything to do with building. Balance bike, scooter.
Make a house for the dolls from boxes or old piece of furniture, paint it or use wallpaper to decorate the inside of the boxes
This probably isnt super helpful, but we do five gifts for Christmas, plus a stocking.
- something s/he wants
- something s/he needs
- something to wear
- something to read
- one big ticket item (last year it was a tablet, this year is a “big girl bed”)
I usually put more than one item in each gift box and wrap it all together (handful of books, few outfits, etc), but that’s because I’m a sucker and cant help myself from over buying even when I try
We also do a Christmas Eve box with a Christmas movie or family game, new pjs, popcorn, hot chocolate, etc. And then we sit as a family and watch the movie or play the game.
Hopefully this gives you some ideas!
I agree with the play kitchen and food. My daughters loved this when they were younger (my 5 year old still likes to pretend while I cook sometimes). Also any leapfrog learning toys i loved as a parent, they’re interactive and fun but educational too. Art supplies. Also you could check into age appropriate science experiments (Google ideas for this and pick what she’d find interesting)
Crafts & paint & instruments
Marble maze, legos, duplos, fort building kit, kinetic sand, play doh, bath toys, water table, train tracks, bowling set, simple board games, vtech learning desk, Mrs potato head
Barbies, polly pockets, legos, arts and crafts.
Some of the best gifts are experience gifts. I know its tough with covid but we got things like skiing lessons and tickets to shows. Maybe there is a ballet to go see, or something local where they could use your support right now.
I’m getting my 2.5 year old a small Trampoline and other things to keep him active. A sled probably.
Hes really into leggo and building things. Art especially glue and paint and sparkles. Cooking supplies. Play house play store.
Tea party set. Dress up sets, arts and crafts. Coloring books, crayons, art supplies, an easel,
My granddaughter and great granddaughter are just 3 and are interested in Mr and Mrs Potato head. Barbies, Kids makeup. DRESSUP. Visit a thrift store and buy a couple of dresses and womans hats throw a couple of your old high . They will be in heaven.
My 3 year old is obsessed with play dough. She also loves reading and puzzles.
My daughter is 5 and would still rather play with a box big or small than play with any toys she has ever gotten. This year I’m getting her books lots of them, a unicorn blanket, a new toothbrush (frozen), a few new mask (frozen paw patrol and unicorn) I got her a color on purse and my mom is getting her one of those frozen hair dolls and a few blankets 4 her house. My 9 month olds will be getting rattles and a few educational age appreciate toys.
Toy animals are a close runner with baby dolls among children. Also art supplies
Definitely slime, play dough, and anything with glitter.
Maybe a glitter drum set.
Experiences make great gifts. Aquariums, movies, amusement parks etc.
Trips like zoo tickets or an adventure
Paint, sand alive, play doh, play animals, kitchen set for her dollies,
Dress up stuff, play kitchen, doctor’s set
Puzzles. Lots of puzzles
Books, puzzles, blocks
Do something to read, wear, need and want. The rest do things for memories. Trip to zoo, etc etc
American Girl Bitty Baby
Learning toys!!! Leap frog, puzzles, etc
This year were doing pretty cheap gifts because our kids have plenty. Lots of coloring books, indoor crafts we can do together books a few toys and clothes. My son is almost 3!
My 2&3 year old girls love blocks (mega, duplo, bristle blocks) crayons& markers, dress up, animal figurines, playdough/sand, and Magna tiles.
I always do at least a new book, puzzle and movie every Christmas just so we have something to do inside.
How do create a post for this group
Arts and crafts stuff. I get little dollar store crafts and we do them every could weeks, but getting a bigger set for Christmas.
Candy land. Crayons. Blocks. Puzzles. Doll house. Trampoline.
Check out Fat Brain Toys online… sorted by age and or gender.
My 2 year old is getting new bedding for his big boy bed. And some small toys.
At that age we bought my daughter a really neat cash register and thats how she learned what each coin name was and then as she got older I taught her how much each coin was as well as the numbers on the bills. Its one of those toys that grows with them.
Little tikes stuff…it’ll last forever
My 3 year old is all about paw patrol, peppa pig, pj masks and frozen. I think any kind of toys would be fine. My toddler is happy with everything she gets
Following…I have a 3yr. Old daughter too.
