I purchased my 2011 Chevy Traverse in 2015 at 38,000 miles for $23,900. That’s with having negative equity from my other vehicle.
Depending on the make and model though, that might be a normal range. I would search it to be safe.
We bought a Camry in 2017 with 75K for $10K. Hope it lasts a few yrs yet. Has 110K now. Only repair was $2500 on the AC system in 2018. I love it. I know used are EXTREMELY expensive right now.
Look into the Honda passport or Honda pilots used. You can get a brand new Honda CR-V which it what I have for that price!
Right now the way the scrap prices are and the way the economy is going ur going to be paying crazy prices right now…
Depending on what the vehicle actually is, that could be a good or bad deal. I drive a 2016 suburban and love it! I bought it preowned for more than that but they are super expensive brand new and great vehicles.
Bought my 2001 Tahoe in 2015 for 9k it had 110k miles.
Bought my 2011 gmc 2500hd extended cab long box in 2018 for 16k had 130k miles on it.
Both farm and family vehicles
I bought a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan with 39,000 miles on it for $18,000.
I got a town and country 2014 3rd row dvd players and sun roof for 8 grand
2015 ford expedition el 70000 for 24k
We have a chevy traverse with third row. Not sure of specs in your question but we are happy we chose this one.
We have a 2015 with 126k miles for $18k. We have a Ford Explorer Sport, 3rd row seating. Kind of just depends on the make and model and how much gadgets it has. Ours is fully loaded with twin turbos and is 4WD. Like we have panoramic sunroofs, heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel. Blind spot detection. Adaptive cruise control. I specifically wanted those things and searched until I got it lol.
we got a dodge journey with 90,000 km on it for around the same price in total, love the 7 seats as we have four kids and it’s fully loaded which is the best. we were going to go with a Tahoe or traverse but our payments are better on this! we have coolers built into the floor too check on warranty if you’re buying from a dealer.
Blue book it. but that sounds good for a 2018. We paid 13 for a 2013 chevy sport suv. Its loaded but had almost 100 thousand miles so that makes a big difference.
Last year I bought a 2017 Ford Escape titanium only 2 rows of seating. 65000 miles for $19000
2019 Ford Escape. It had 16,000 some miles when I got it. It was $20,000 some. Ended up only needing a loan for $12,000 some.
I just got a 2016 Yukon XL with 90k miles. Paid 40k. More then I wanted to spend, but I LOVE all the room. I have 2 (almost 3) kids. And it has all the bells and whistles !
Prob a good price as 3rd row jacks up prices
I have a 2013 Kia soul I paid 12,000 for and a 07 navigator I paid 17,000 for
Get the vehicle!! The prices of suvs have doubled on lots so I’d take that while you can
I wrecked my car when I still owed a couple thousand on it and couldn’t afford another car. I talked to he dealership I got it from and the manager went about and beyond to help me! They added what I still owed (minus $500) onto a 2018 Ford Focus they had on the showroom floor (with 9miles on it) after everything was said and done, it was almost $22,000.
I have a 2014 suburban and I paid 38k … definitely not happy with it and I wish I wouldn’t have gotten …
I would get that SUV though for that price!
I paid 26k for a 2017 Jeep grand cherokee with 32,000 miles
2020 rav4. Paid 26k out the door. It was brand new. 0 miles. I was also looking used and really didn’t want to spend more than 20k. But they had such good warranty and packages on the brand new it was better to do that. Only 4k more out the door then what I was looking at. And that car had 80k miles and no warranty/oil package
Check Consumer Reports
So getting new car is better pricing then used one
I got n 07 suburban 3row 150k miles for 10k. And that’s after my trade in. But the prices for suv are absolutely ridiculous
I’d say go for it. I have a 2019 Durango with 24,000 miles and paid $32000
Equinox 2015 40000 miles 16k but including warranty
That sounds like a reasonable price. My 2022 Honda van was $50,000. We looked at a used one for $35,000.
Look in to the Kelley Blue Book app tells you what you can expect to pay used or new. I used it to purchase my last 2 cars and I was able to get a better deal.
We just bought a 2019 Tahoe for 55k. 25,000 miles. Sunroof, leather, heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, Bluetooth DVD player, wireless headphones, captains chairs, CarPlay, USB ports, regular outlets, navigation, WiFi.
Depends on the make and model. Toyota and Honda are always more $
Right now is the worst time to buy a vehicle honestly! My new truck went from 35,000 to 50,000 it will go down but apparently their is some kind of vehicle shortage or some crap like everything else it’s just a bubble and it will pop I would buy something used that’s relabel ect but not 50,000 right now you will end up upside down in a few months either way I drive a Tahoe and have kids it’s amazing I won’t do a van I need lifted and four wheel drive where I live to make it up and down roads if you get a Chevy with fuel management have it deleted you will actually start better fuel mileage and when it goes down into fuel management it stops pushing oil in the cylinder your motor will blow at 120,000 give a little more or less depending on oil changes ect
2009 suburban 3rd row we paid $12,500.
Sounds like a decent deal. Apparently the suvs are flying off the lot. I wrecked my Buick enclave 2 weeks ago and was looking at a super Low mileage Nissan for 21k. Only a 2015 but it’s already been sold from the time I talked to the dealer until I got to the Dealership with a deposit. It was at a different facility for he couldn’t hold it for me. Good luck!
I got a 2018 VW Atlas with 89000miles (it was a rental or fleet car I think bc it was pristine inside) for $23000
I paid 19k for my 2014 Toyota RAV4. It had 69k miles on it.
Anything but GM, Ford, or dodge/Chrysler
I bought a 2018 Nissan pathfinder. Third row seating 38,000 miles for $22,000. I love it. Very roomy.
We bought (in April) our 2017 Tahoe premier 3rd row seating power everything (fully loaded all the bells and whistles)with 25,000 miles and all said and done out the door we came in under $56,000 … It depends on the type of vehicle and whether they hold their value and what not but that definitely seems more than reasonably priced
I was shopping for used cars the end of July and they had a Chevy traverse in that price range with third row seating.
2018 jeep compass i forgot how many miles think was 20 something for i believe 30 we bought for back in March no cd player though and has a backup camera this is first newer one for us
I recently bought a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan with 70k miles for $12,500
Chevy Tahoe!! I’ve had 2 & they are great cars
We just got a 2017 gmc Acadia third row seating 60,000 miles for $27,000 fits our family of 5 great and I have 1 1/2 twins and 6 yr old still plenty of room.
I got a 2018 Nissan Altima
Bought it in 2019 paid 14k
Under 40k on it then
My cars a 2007 Saturn Aura that had 99k mile I got for $4000 but my mom just got a 2015 Nissan Altima with around 80k miles and she paid $11,000
2018 GMC Terrain w/ 42k miles
Paid $ 23,000
Great and reliable vehicle… just should have put more thought into it, because I’d like more trunk space.
Excellent on gas!!
We have a Mazda CX-5 and LOVE it!! It’s a reasonable price, great safety reviews and great on gas. The cx5 only has one row of backseats. But they have the cx9 model that has the second row.
Minivans are so affordable. I paid 15gs for my 2017 grand caravan. Low mileage and one owner.
I got a 2003 Nissan Altima it had 150,000 miles paid 1500 on fb market place but she still runs strong. I did have a 2001 Toyota Sequoia v8 4x4 with 3rd row seating paid 6,000 at a used dealer but that truck ran like a top I swear just got to expensive for us to keep filling it up v8’s take a lot of gas lol
This is probably the most expensive time ever to buy a car. There’s a car shortage and prices have skyrocketed.
Paid around $40k for a 2020 Hyundai Palisade. No miles. Great family SUV with so many features.
Honda Pilot with 3rd row. You can get new for 30.
That’s a decent deal you can always ask about an extended warranty.
I drive a 2015 Jeep Renegade, bought it with 45k miles for $16,500. I absolutely love it.
Just got a 2018 GMC Terrain with 34,000 miles for $22,000… no bells and whistles but a nice SUV (no 3rd row)
2018 doge journey with 3rd row seating. We traded our 08 dodge ram 1500 only had too to give 1,250 down because it’s trade in value was 25,000 and out new car was originally priced 35,000.
I didn’t see spending 200$ in has specially my fiance working 1 hour away our milage in the new car idk that but it’s around 40,000 miles last I looked
I got a 2004 kia sedona. Bought it on marketplace for 2 grand. Mechanically sound, had 140,000 miles. I’m the 2nd owner
We bought a 2017 Ford Expedition EL (the longer ones) 70k miles for 27k last year
I’m sorry, but vehicles now a days cost as much as a house used to!! It just amazes me!
2019 Suburban, I had it custom made for me. I love it and fits our lives… I won’t mention what I paid for it though lol
toyota or Honda are the only two brands I’d even consider. Toyota holds it’s value. You will pay more up front but toward the end, you’ll have something that lasts…. and lasts….and lasts. Something that won’t nickel and dime you to death the minute it hits 80k.
I bought a 2012 Chevy traverse has 3rd row seating 98000 miles on it. For 9000
my 2018 chevy equinox LT had 35k miles on and we paid 21.9 out the door with tax tag and title.
the traverse (3rd row) is typically about 10k or so more. all i can say is really really search high and low…be thorough with car fax. and dont always trust the dealership when they say it was a non smoker…mine smelt great when i bought it. 2 months later my a.c. pours out what smells like a cigar bar for the first 5 mins of the ride
I love our 2020 4runner with 3rd row. Hard to find, and 55k brand new including lift, wheels and steps but it gorgeous and works fine for our 4 kids
I have a 2016 Kia Sedona. It’s so easy to haul my kids and family around. Awesome for traveling. I kind of started not liking van life so I was able to drive my mom’s Tahoe and my boyfriends truck around for awhile and it honestly gave me a new appreciation for my van. I don’t have to worry about my kids door dinging the cars next to us and it’s easy to just get in and go. I can pull the middle seat out and the kids could just go back there if they need to. And it’s awesome one gas.
We bought a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder with 2,000 miles on it for $24,000 no money down at a dealership
We just bought a 2021 Toyota Rav 4 (just the basic version) for 27k. Had 29 miles on it when we drove it off the lot. I LOVE IT. Has a huge screen/radio which I’m not too fond of but convenient when using GPS. Has lane and steering assist as well. Its honestly cheaper to buy a newer vehicle. We got this one for 3k more than a 2018 with 20k miles on it…
Not a good deal. Car gurus helped me get two good deals. 2012 Chrysler 200 w 37k miles for $7000 and 2017 Kia Sedona w 19k miles for $22k
I’m the oddball out here lol but I got a 1989 Buick with only 87000 miles on it n it’s in tip top shape too.
We just leased a 2021 Ford Explorer and it has 3rd row seating and I love it!! If you can find a used one you may be able to get it around that price.
The supply and demand for each vehicle is going to be different. Look at what they cost new and shop around. Check out numerous dealerships and online sellers to see what is average for your vehicle. My 2017 had about 50k miles on it and asking price was 26 or 27k. Base model. Mine was a Durango though. Something like an equinox or traverse was quite a bit cheaper.
2008 Ford Expedition. Paid 8k for it. No car payments. It’s cute, functional and tows over 9k lbs
Anything Toyota would be your best bet. Low maintenance and low cost.
I bought a 2008 chevy cobalt with 60000 miles on it for 3000. And a Chevy tahoe with 80000 miles on it for 1500.
We paid 35,000 for our 2018 drove off lot with 6 miles on it with tags and everything and no down payment… It’s a trail hawk jeep compass 4x4. We love it. Almost paid off. Can’t wait for next purchase. Great vehicle.
2017 Ford Explorer. Had 56,000 miles and got it for 22 or 23 thousand. Love the third row, super spacious for my kiddos. AC works great, vents from front to back which was super important to me as I live down south and it gets super crispy in the summer time. Good luck!
2016 Toyota 4Runner $23k, 90k miles.
Depends on the make and model. I bought a brand new 2018 dodge journey with third row with only 12 miles for 18K
We bought a 2015 Honda Odyssey for 22,000 with 48,000 miles a few years ago. Literally the best car we’ve ever owned.
2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, absolutely love it. Bought it brand new for about 40k.
We found a 2018 Dodge Journey for just under $17,000, we pay $235 a month and put $6k down. It had 26000 miles on it.
I definitely recommend Car Max. They shipped us this car from another state for free.
Also we only put 6k down because we wanted payments under $300 a month.
2018 Camry
48k miles
$19k
We have a traverse, purchased brand new. With 3rd row. Paid about double that. But it has all the bells and whistles
I say that’s a good deal paying 40k for a 2016 with 116,000 miles
2014 maxima
82,xxx miles$14,500 after down payment (just paid it off)
2017 dodge ram longhorn
53,xxx
$30,00
Depends on what vehicle and make, and miles. They all vary.
2017 van had 45k miles for 16k
We got a 2004 suburban 135,000 miles for 4,500 seats 9 people
The car market is super high rn. This is an awesome price for a 3rd row and right at 50k miles! And always remember you can always negotiate sales price
I have an 06 durango and love it. It’s got over 200k miles and is still going strong. We paid 3500 for it a couple years ago after my suburban was totaled by a drunk driver
Minivan all the way!
I got a 2020 Sorento. 11k $20,000.
2017 gmc terrain for 14,000
Lol we have a 2008 Ford Escape for 4K & a 92 accord for 1.2k & a 07 explorer for 5k & a Dodge Ram for 2k but oh how bad I want a suburban.
Depends on what it is
