Pros and cons of owlet baby monitor?

Owlet monitors? pros and cons? I’ve read very mixed reviews on them. I didn’t know about them with my first so i didn’t worry about having one.

I was weary at first, but I actually love mine :slightly_smiling_face: I put it on him every night because it tracks his sleep patterns!

My lo wore it once and the alarm went off bc it slipped off of his foot. Scared the ever loving shit out of me and he never wore it again. They didn’t have these things 10 years ago when I had my first so I’m perfectly content without it. My sister uses one for my godchild. He doesn’t sleep without it on and he’s 9 months now. I really think it’s personal preference.

I loved ours. But sadly her foot so small that the smallest one was a hair big but it still worked.

Me personally think its a waste of money… But my opinion… But i did co-sleep with my first and do now with my newborn i just had… I wake up to the smallest things now that im a mom… And never had one issue with co-sleeping… But thats my personal opinion…

We haven’t experienced any cons so far. It gives me peace of mind knowing that if something goes wrong with her the alarm will go off.

It was a life saver with my second! His whole first year of life he kept getting bronchiolitis. He even had a few day hospital stay. I know the common sense signs of when to seek medical attention but the owlet really opens your eyes to how quickly the health of your child can change. The owlet was the best decision.

My little guy was rushed to ER limp and not breathing, they said if we hadn’t caught it when we did that he would have been considered a SIDS case. He had been awake and fed 10 min before. The owlet was literally a life saver for us after that, anytime he would stop breathing we were able to wake him up before it got to that point. We will be using it from day one with our new little guy when he gets here!

Waste of money. Hated it. Only works when baby is perfectly still sooo never really lol

Another option is the Snuza. I got one as a gift with my son and it worked really well! It’s less expensive too. Gave us so much peace of mind.
