This might be a dumb question, but does it make it a difference if i state that my son goes to school on my taxes? I did my taxes today and I’m looking over my paper work, and the person put down that my son is not a student put he is,hes 4 yrs old and in preschool
Depends on the state the state I’m in doesn’t consider it school until 1st grade. But mostly I think they look for like college so if you have school expenses.
In Iowa they are 2 different credits ones for college expenses the other is for children 3-5
