I was on it almost the full time before you have to replace and I loved it.

I’ve had mine almost a year. After it was put in I got my period for 45 days straight then nothing since. I have gained weight though which sucks.

I’ve had it for 2 years… I love it. No problems. And no periods either.

I’m on my 3rd one. Personally, I love it. I don’t have to remember to do anything with it. I do still get a period but I’m used to that so it doesn’t bother me.

I’ve had it for 2 years with no issues. Periods are inconsistent though

I had mine for like 2 month and gained 25lbs, I didnt like it tbh, I have the copper IUD, this is my 3rd year and never had issues

Both of my older sister have it, and they love it. Haven’t had problems with it.

Had it a year… in that year I had my cycle every other week for a week at a time. Ended up developing a bleeding issue that I believe was brought on by it. Took me almost a decade to get pregnant again after having it removed.

I had it for a year, and had no periods.
I did gain weight while on it, but not sure if it was from the Nexplanon or from the low dose chemo I started around the time I got it.

I plan on getting it again after I have this baby!
I’ve tried everything on the market and liked the Nexplanon the most.

I had it for 6 years total, so two 3 year implants. It was a bit of a hormonal change, but literally not having to worry about it was a life saver. Never had a scare, not much changed with my periods, except some were heavier or longer than others, but nothing crazy or unmanageable! I recently got my tubes removed, so the Nexplanon was removed as well.

I had it for about 3 months and I was majorly broke out everywhere the whole time.( my back, my arms, chest, and face) & I had uncontrollable anger. I broke a table in half simply bc a basket wouldn’t fit under it. I had it removed for those exact reasons bc it was so bad I wasn’t myself. Everyone reacts differently, don’t hurt to try it out.

I’ve had it since 2014. Never had issues replacing it never had issues. No cramps for me lighter periods as well. And I actually get mine replaced tomorrow

I had 2 it gave me severe anxiety and took me over a year to get pregnant coming off it. It’s nice to not have to remember to take a pill.

i’ve had one since it was called implanon (2009) 13 years and the only issues i have had are weight gain and i have a weird almost period type bleeding for a few weeks when it’s time to replace and after i replace it. but other than that i’ve loved not having worry about it.

My daughter had it and she had a lot of side affects. She finally got it taken out.

Have had 2… FINALLY getting it taken out at my drs appointment next month. I have had really bad hormonal weight gain and it’s affected so much that I couldn’t take it anymore. It was devastating to me. .Hubby got a vasectomy recently so I finally get to say goodbye to it. . I know every woman is different so I wish you all the best of luck… for me, it’s been a nightmare!

It’s good because (for me) no periods, and pretty bullet proof… not so good (for me) weight gain, fatigue, almost manic feeling episodes, slim to no libido. I’ve had it put in 3 different times. The first time the full 3 years, the second only 2 Yeats and now this time almost 2 years.

I have my second one in now that expires in October. Haven’t decided if I’ll get a 3rd one in or not. No side effects besides no period for the first several years. I have just a normal period now. I’ve tried nuvaring, the pill, the patch and nexplanon is best. I won’t ever ever get an IUD risks are too great and not worth it.

I got it because my sister and best friend swore by it, the greatest thing ever… I on the other hand had horrible cramps and a 6 month long period because my doctor wasn’t listening to me and told me to just hold out a little longer so I could “adjust” I was miserable… finally was able to take it out and the new doctor said some people just aren’t a good fit for it. Monitor yourself for anything different. I swore it sounded perfect for what I wanted and I would have loved it but I had a really bad experience and I’m sure it’s not common but figured other perspectives would be good.

Just got my second one removed after almost 2 years because of bleeding 15-20 days a month for 8 months straight

I was losing my hair, didn’t realize it was related to my nexplanon removed it as that’s the only that changed and i stopped losing hair.

I’ve had it twice. But before that I had the implanon. Don’t recommend, I immediately starting gaining weight, major depression, fatigue. Constant headaches, & I believe it gave me the little cyst on my ovary, & had the whole ovary removed in 2015. I felt like this during that year & recently. I got it removed within 2 months. I only liked it because no periods. Look it up on Tik Tok, others tell their stories.

I’ve had mine all together 7 years. I have it changed when it needs it and have had no problems. No periods. No side effects. Everyone is different though.

About to get mine removed. I went from normal cramp free periods to bleeding for 3 weeks and getting a weeks break. I’ve had it almost 2 years. I cramp so bad now.

I had an nexplanon put in January and my period went from a regular period, to having it for 3 weeks out of the month. So come the beginning of July I had it removed

I ended up getting a tumor on my liver because of that birth control. I almost lost part of my liver due to that birth control. Thankfully once it was removed, the tumor shrunk and I didn’t need surgery. But it was scary!

I think everyone reacts differently but for me I bled constantly every day with it so I eventually had it taken out

My sister bled constantly for over a year and a half before getting it removed. She struggled with infertility for over a year following.

I let my doctor convince me to try it a few years ago. The insertion spot was bruised and really sore for weeks after insertion. I had terrible headaches the entire time it was in my arm. No periods and steady weight gain. If I had to choose between Nexplanon and Depo I’d choose depo because it seemed to be easier on my body.

I had mine for two years and bled every single day. I hated it so much. I loved depo, i didn’t gain weight on it though. I’m on the pill now and don’t like it but not sure what to do now. I personally don’t want an IUD but i know plenty of women who love theirs.

The worst!!! Don’t do it don’t do it!!!
