Mom’s with kids with glasses…in your opinion is it worth paying the sometimes $100 plus that isn’t covered by insurance for glasses or do you do the cheaper options? If so, what do you recommend?
I do the more affordable option, but add the insurance so they can be replaced if broken.
I order my kids glasses from zenni optical. Super cheap and I buy several at one time. U can also reoder at anytime. U will need the rx to order.
I go with cheaper ones! We like zenni, my son’s fav are firmoo and my fav is pair eyewear. Pair can get a little expensive with the toppers but still SOOO much cheaper for us!
My daughter’s glasses are $100 without insurance. We end up paying around $85 with private pay discount. She wears Dilli Dalli Eyewear. Mine are “kids” frames and they were $70. The expensive glasses are usually the ones like Nike, and there’s no reason to get those just for the brand.
Get the cheapest you can for a backup pair. Order from Zenni Optical for better ones.
Cheaper they will be broken. I usually just get whatever our insurance covers. With our insurance the replacement is free.
I go for cheapest once which is $69
I get my rx from my local optical office and then order glasses through Zenni.com. I can get no line bifocals for about $60. I’ve gotten simple single prescription glasses for $25-30.
