Mom’s who’ve dyed their hair from copper light brown, to purple dark red burgundy, is it easy? Do I just use the purply red burgundy dye? Or do I need to dye my hair different color first then the burgundy?
Sometimes the box will show how the dye will look on different hair colors. Look on different brands’ boxes until you find one that does. I find they’re pretty accurate. Generally you’re OK just using the color going darker, but if you go lighter you may need to use some bleach or color remover to get light pink or light blue for example.
