Questions about c-sections

Everyone is different so healing time varies between everyone. I just wore my regular clothes

I wore loose fitting clothes that were light in material. It will be three years since my cesarean in May and I still have a little pain after lifting heavy things and in the spot where my son liked to be. I did have a lot of complications ending with having to go back for another surgery. I have heard different time frames for healing from a few months to several. Everyone heals different.

My scar was tender for a year…

Hmm I was back to work in 3weeks !

Use the a faja n da one dat is all the way up to the breast n half the legs n used it for 4 months since I wanted my shape back n it worked…it hurts yes but beauty is pain

I was in jeans after about 2 weeks, was out grocery shopping within 4 days and back to work after 2 weeks

I wore loose dresses. Leggings that i pulled up way over my stomach.

Nightgowns rest but don’t be lazy and listen to your body don’t push it too far… I was fully recovered in 3 weeks and mine was an emergency and had many complications… You got this mama!!!

I’ve had 3. As long as you wear something soft/stretchy and high waisted…you should be good to go. Good luck on your healing and congrats on your new addition.

Anything comfortable. Remember not only is your incision healing, your insides have been pulled and tugged, so your sore from that also.

Baggy clothes, no tight waist bands.
Use lavender oil for faster healing. X

I wore granny panties, made my incision feel more protected. I also didn’t wear anything with a zipper in front. I have the old up & down scar. I had 2 more c sections and a hysterectomy thru the same scar.

I would put period pads in my panties across the c section area.

Soft jammie pants!!! I also just want to applaud the women giving her the actual advice she asked for and didnt make snarky remarks about how they were recovered in 3 weeks so obviously she should he right, wrong!! :smirk: women should wildly support other women. All csections are different and all womens recovery time is different! Long or short no matter how long it takes you to recover, you are a superhero!! You brought a life into this world take all the damn time you need to heal!!

My first c-section hurt a lot worse and took longer to recover from than my second one.

Lose clothing will help sooo much & please take all the time you need to heal. I rushed it & ended up with a hernia. You’ve just had major surgery.

Amen to that! Jessica Higgins, you hit the spot right there! :+1:
I had 2 and they were different each time. First one was hell on earth And second one was a little bit better. But your body is unique, you take the time you need. And take time to rest, don’t forget that this is an operation, and not even a small one. You got this, just enjoy your little miracle and don’t worry.

I wore dresses and gowns so nothing was aggravating it…

Ignore the above useless info bout being back at work big whoop for them theres always a few I’m better than you lurking around social media to throw in their two pence:roll_eyes: I’ve had 3 sections all emergency and all different healing, I could wear nothing but leggings for about 10 weeks after the first one, the second one I was in jeans after a week but I think it was psychological as I thought the jeans would stop my insides falling out :joy: 3rd one was a ten year gap from the 2nd one and sweet jesus did I earn it, I’m still in elasticated jeans 14 months later, you do you sweetie and what ever works for you, just remember your body has gone through a huge surgery and between organs settling, hormones scatty and a new bubba nothing is gonna be comfortable, as long as you are happy and your bubs has his/her momma that’s all that matters, congrats on your new arrival and if a black bag is all you can tolerate to wear, wear that thing with pride :heart: also if you have maternity sanitary towel the really padded ones place one of them over the scar under your underwear itll take the pressure off the scar xxx

I did nightgowns and big loose sweats. Nothing that was tight or low waisted. It does get better just takes time

I’ve had three. Make sure you don’t overdo it. Get plenty of rest when you can and be gentle on your body and before you know it the pain will be a thing of the past! Best of luck to you and your new baby!

I did dresses/skirts, anything with stretchy waistbands (but not elastic waistband)—yoga pants/bike shorts, etc.! That incision spot can be painfully sore for quite some time—that’s part of why you can get a doctor’s note to be off work for 8 weeks instead of 6 when you have a c section! It’s definitely not the “easy way.”

Also: drink loads of water and rest as much as possible. Everything else can wait.

Something loose and don’t pick up anything heavier than a kettle for 6 weeks you should have been advised this prior to going home

My scar hurt for months to the touch. The nerves are reconnecting and every person is different.

Anything high waisted I found worked for me! Then it wasn’t rubbing up against my incision. I used my maternity pants actually :woman_shrugging:t4: It took me a couple months to feel completely normal again but my incision healed up (on the outside) around 2 weeks after. BUT I was like 4-5 months before I could wear my normal jeans again without it hurting
