Let him express himself. He’s already aware that his friends may make fun of him and he wants to do it at home anyway. I’m a gay dad with 3 children (I grew up ultra religious and suppressed my feelings for a long time) and I never wanted my kids to feel the shame I did for being who I am. If he is gay, you’re adding to his feelings of social pressure to conform and if he’s not you’re telling him there is something wrong with him. Support his choice and answer his questions honestly, tell him you don’t care if he loves a boy or a girl, you just want him to be happy. He’ll deal with enough crap either way in life, don’t add to it.

If by simps, you mean well adjusted children, comfortable in their own skins and not growing up with a ton of parental baggage that they need to spends thousands of dollars on therapy to get over, more power to this generation. I don’t see anybody running anything, I see a young person respectfully asking his mother for permission to do something.
