Should I worry about my son having flat feet?

My stepmom recently pointed out that my son is flat footed should I worry?

I’m flat footed and when I was younger my parents went to a specialist to get arch inserts made for my shoes but all they did was really hurt my feet and I never got used to them. I just stopped using them and I’ve been fine as far as I know.

No . Nothing wrong with flat feet . He is normal .

When your baby is learning to walk ,make sure you only put soft bottom shoes on, by the bottom of the foot touching the floor, it builds an arch …

I was flat footed. Wear nike only and have a small arch now

Keep an eye out for pronation, in-toeing and hip dysplasia.

Depending on his age (my daughter was between 4 and 5), my doctor told me to get shoes with good arch support in them. The only problem was I had a hard time finding them. Most shoes have memory foam and no real arch support in them.

My daughters flat footed. She wear insoles that help her feet to arch. Ask GP about referral for assessment. She’s doing brilliant and no need to worry. Good luck x

I’m flat footed its fine you can get some fitted arch support to put in the shoes when the child is older. Overall it can cause back and hip pains when they get older it didnt start for me till about a year ago.

ask the pediatrician… maybe your stepmom doesn’t know what she’s talking about🤷‍♀️

I wouldn’t be worried but you can always ask the doctor at his next checkup

I seriously think all babies are flat footed lol

My fiance has flat feet and so does my 2 year old. Shoes will be uncomfortable and the smallest things on the floor or in the carpet, they will feel and it hurts. There’s not really much you can do about it.

no having a flat foot is common. unless when he’s older and he mentions that his feet cause him pain, there’s nothing to worry about.
im flat footed.

No. Im flat footed. Growing up inwore skater style shoes. I found them more comfortable. I found that high arched shoes hurt my foot. But…if the child is real little, get some with high arch and it can help change the foot as it grows. Nike is good for arch. You can also get special insoles for her shoes that can help. To be honest though…being flat footed isnt a big deal.

I’m flat footed and I’ve been fine with my last pregnancy I got diagnosed with plantar fasciitis but I got arch supports and as long as I wear them I have none to minimal pain and helps my back as well

Stride right sis, get the baby the correct shoes and it’ll be okay…
