Should you buy kids clothes on temu or shein?

Are we buying SHEIN & TEMU clothes for kids? I’ve heard toxic chemicals aren’t good but isn’t that in normal clothing too or am I wrong? Any advice is welcome before I put the clothes on my kids. Thank you!!!

I buy clothes for me and the kids from shein

My teenage daughters LOVE Shein!!! Never had ANY issues and had very good luck with them

I do shein not temu. Only because the first time I ordered from temu I kept getting scam texts and emails so I avoid it

i mean I always wash new clothes. I’ve gotten myself clothes and never had an issue. read the reviews quality is usually similar to Walmart bought clothes lol

Gotten lots of stuff from both and never had any issues

The majority of my clothes are from SHEIN , but for the kids I prefer Temu , they have a great selection and the prices are great.
I have never had any issues with the smell but I do wash the kids clothes before they use it

I don’t do either. They are Chinese companies that most likely employ children and other “slaves” in sweatshops that don’t pay a living wage to bring you clothes at a deep discount. I try to buy from American companies and thrift stores as much as possible. Lands End, LL Bean, and small, local businesses have sturdy clothes but may not be trendy, though you can at least get basics like jeans, Ts, polos, khakis, socks and bathing suits. Farmers Markets, festivals and county fairs are great places to find unique small businesses. I know it’s hard when your kids want to look like everyone else and you’re on a budget. When I was in school I took sewing classes and made some of my favorite outfits, though that is increasingly an expensive option now too.

Clothes in atores are made in china also.?.. whts the difference…

My 16 yr old gets all of her tops for school from shein

My 10 year old loves shein

Chemicals come on pretty much all clothes. They use them to make them fold neatly. It’s as simple as washing before wear.

Both and wash everything before wearing

No. They are known to contain over 200x the “safe” amount of serious heavy metals and chemicals like lead, arsenic, and phthalates . This can lead to neurological damage, endocrine disruption , and reproductive health issues just to name a few things.
While certainly some other stores are made in the same countries or locations, they are not running sweat shops and fast fashion compromising quality and integrity of the products or abusing their workers . The reason these items are so cheap is because they are poorly made toxic items.
You’re not necessarily going to see “issues” in the form of rashes or immediate reactions but the health effects are there and the research is abundant. All the testing done on these products shows DANGEROUS levels of toxins and children are even more susceptible.
Are you going to wait for your child to have lead poisoning to realize it was bad?

It’s simply not worth it. If you need affordable clothes for kids try thrift shops, tj maxx, once upon a child, or similar places . And remember if a price seems to be too good to be true, that’s because it is.

Love their stuff! Most clothes are made in other countries anyway

I shopped a temu for my kids before but I heard SHEIN is great too/

My daughter got some jeans from Temu and they smell horrible. Super cute but even after washing them numerous times they still smell

No they just had another report the other day. They had like 428 over the illegal limit of chemicals in them and it doesn’t all come out in the wash

I’ve bought my kids clothes from temu and shein. They’re all good so nothing to worry about imo

Purchased from both… but as with any newly purchased clothing… wash first

We’re always buying from shein for all of us.

I’ve bought Shein clothes. I mean technically the majority of clothes come from overseas. This is why I always wash before wearing

I buy from shein. Wash 1st. But been buying ages.

I refuse to shop with a company that all of my money is going directly to China. They are getting more hold on our country everyday and this is just one more way that it is happening without people realizing it.

I haven’t bought clothes from either, but my MIL & SIL have gotten some nice stuff for my daughter from Shein

My daughter has . I always wash any clothes from anywhere I buy them .

But what chemicals are u referring to ?

I like the kids clothes on Temu

No everything is not from China they have all your information im not giving them mine

SHEIN! I’ve noticed that the quality of SHEIN is much better than TEMU.

I bought my sons whole wardrobe for school off seeing and I loved everything I bought except the shoes. The clothes fit great and look great the shoes fall apart quickly. To me it was def worth it.

Bought lots from shein and few from temu and never had any issues.

My kids have had shein nothing from temu
