Should you date someone if your family doesn't like them?

Serious question. Are you not supposed to date somebody just cause your family doesn’t like them? I feel like part of me leaving my kids dad has to do with my parents judgements and others in my family that don’t like him and I do feel it’s partially my fault cause I would vent to my mom in the tough times with him and I… I’ve learned now to not go outside of the relationship when times are tough.

Screw why they don’t like him. If you’re an adult it’s your LIFE

Depends on if he’s truly toxic and that venting is actually more stock home syndrome and you’re eyes aren’t open to it like their eyes are. But at the end of the day it’s your choice and only your choice to continue to be with him.

Ask that rude friend. Seriously. Ask the person who will be honest with you.
If you can’t do that, Ask yourself this, If your son/daughter was in the relationship you have, would you be ok with that?
However you amswer that is the answer for you.
