Should you use pullups with a potty training toddler?

My 2 year old has shown a lot of interest in the potty! Even went on it this morning . Did you guys use pull-ups ? Or the more thicker underwear?

Thicker underwear. Pull-ups are too much like diapers

Honestly depends on the kiddo. My first just used a pull-up like a diaper because they feel the same, my 2nd treated the pull-up like underwear because it went on differently than a diaper, we only used them for a week or so max with him then switched to underwear.

No. It’s just like a diaper so they think it’s ok to go potty in them

Just shorts- we had all poops in potty since 15mo though so that wasn’t an issue

No, take a weekend and dedicate it to potty training. Use thicker training underpants or have them pick out character ones they want.
I potty trained my daughter, son, granddaughter in a weekend. No accidents after those 2 days. We carried extra clothes just incase of an accident but never needed them. Even with my granddaughter that wouldn’t go in public toilet w/ auto flush…I used diapers at night until they had a month of dry nights.
