Signs of diabetes in kids?

What were your kids symptoms for diabetes my daughter is 3 and drinks and drinks and drinks non stop she gets tested Friday and I’m so nervous

My girl also drinks and drinks and drinks and was negative for diabetes. She does have some genetic kidney problems that they chalked it up to

My t1 was 2 at diagnosis.

When my daughter got diagnosed with type 1- she was 9 but she was peeing constantly (even wetting the bed at night), thirsty like no other, really really moody and cranky, and when I’d started really thinking by about it she had lost a decent amount of weight.
Prayers for you mama!!

I thought the same with my daughter when she was 4 or 5yo. I had gestational diabetes with both of my kids and was diagnosed type 1 about a year after having my second so I’m always scared they could potentially be diagnosed at some point. Fruity breath is a symptom of high sugars. Mood shifts and headaches could be high sugars too. Best thing to do to possibly calm your nerves is get her a1c checked and a C-peptide blood test can tell how well the pancreas is working. Low sugars can be seen as groggy and lethargic. And if willing buy a glucose monitor at the pharmacy and test her sugar by pricking her finger. My kids are used to me randomly checking theirs if they don’t feel well
