I’m 24 and a half weeks pregnant with my first baby and was wondering if any of y’all make homemade smoothies? I’m constantly hungry and I know the baby needs more nutrients so instead of ignoring the hunger or snacking on junk I want to make smoothies that are decently healthy and that will give us both nutrients and make me feel full. Anywho my question is what fruits and stuff should I mix together? I’m typically just a strawberry kind of person but I feel like that will get old fast.
Thanks!
I use fresh or frozen, bananas , strawberries, blueberries, raspberries etc and make banana berry smoothies i also add vanilla sustagen for extra nutrition… im not pregnant though lol
I love peaches, pineapple & banana, and some orange juice! Yummm
Frozen peaches, greek yogurt, honey!
Smoothie are great but I would just cut up veggies and throw them in a huge ziplock and eat them with dip throughout the day. I feel like when you’re hungry eating stuff like that feels more filling than drinking your calories.
vanilla protein powder, an add any fruit you want to it
green smoothies…fresh spinach,apple,banana,walnuts and pineapple juice…
You can add whatever fruit but I’d alway put a hand full of fresh spinach. Sometimes the smoothies ended up looking like poo but it stil taste good lol
I know you asked you smoothies but a great snack would be cucumbers and tomatoes and you add a bit of olive oil, a lot of lemon juice and bit season salt. It helped keep me satisfied in between meals.
Here’s my typical breakdown
Base: water, OJ, coconut water
Frozen: mixed berries, tropical fruit, pineapple, cherries
Powder: hemp seed, chia seed, flax meal, protein
Fresh: spinach, banana
Strawberries and bananas and mangoes
Pinterest! So many great ideas…try to incorporate peanut butter into them. High in protein. Some protein powders have a lot of sugar so you have to watch out for that and too much protein can also make it hard to so watch that too
I make banana peanut butter ones. A couple of frozen bananas a tablespoon of peanut butter, milk and sometimes throw in some ground oats. It tastes like a milkshake. I’ve subbed chocolate milk or added some cocoa powder, or vanilla for something a little different.
Strawberry and banana
Pretty much any mixture of fruit as long as it has some banana in with it. The bananas make the smoothie thick and sweet. Toss in some spinich or kale and honestly won’t even taste them past the fruits but still will get the nutrients.
Strawberry orange & banana sooooo yummy!!
Kiwi + strawberry too!!
I used to use vanilla almond milk with frozen fruit. My favorite was almond milk, banana, peanut butter blended with ice
Use any juice, any fruit, any flavor yogurt, ice and honey for added sweetness if you choose. I like strawberries and bananas with strawberry banana yogurt, apple juice and I also throw in baby carrots for extra vitamins.
Pinterest will be your best friend I found tons there
Peanut butter and banana smoothie with two handfuls of spinach.
My go-to is whatever berries I have on hand, frozen spinach, whatever juice I have, a handful of oatmeal, and a tablespoon or so of ground flax seed. Good for you, good for baby, and helps boost milk supply!
