Christmas is around the corner and I’m honestly not feeling the typical gifts for the families kiddos. I mean I’m kinda not wanting to gift the usual, toys, clothes, etc. What is something special or unique that can be given to kids but still won’t disappoint them? TIA!
Experiences. Tickets to a show, museum, event, either all together or individually tailored to each child. If you’re on a budget, high school and local theater and dance concerts are usually fairly reasonable.
How about a meal out with each child, one-on-one?
Fancy foods like chocolate truffles, lemon curd, apple butter, pistachio brittle, Nutella or cashew butter, fancy crackers and a non-Cheddar cheese they might like.
Or new board games and puzzles the whole family can enjoy.

Most of my kids gifts are experiences anymore. Zoo or museum memberships, gift cards for movies/ Dave and busters/ etc./ weekend trips
Like this year, mine are getting a 4 day trip over February break to Kalahari as one of their Christmas gifts. And like next summer (2026) we’re planning a vacation with my brothers family to Disney world, so for Christmas next year, they’ll get all kinds of stuff for the trip as Christmas gifts.
