Hi! My 2 year old was just tentatively diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Any other moms have this experience? What were their first symptoms? How old were they? Treatments? I’m so worried but I’m grateful it isn’t cancer.

I’m sorry I can’t even imagine what you’re dealing with as a parent, I have several autoimmune diseases and I get RA like flare ups. When I get blood work done my antibodies are never elevated enough to get a diagnosis for RA. I take rounds of steroids periodically and anti-inflammatory medicines daily. Following AIP (auto-immune protocol) diet and eating anti-inflammatory foods help. I’ve done Whole30 to find out my trigger foods but I’ll be honest that dietary changes with a toddler might be tricky. From experience the worse I eat the worse I feel.
