My 17 year old daughter is angry with me tonight because I disagree with her being the go-to designated driver for some of her older friends. I of course want her to help out when it’s needed and safe, but she has become the person they rely on. They expect her to pick them up at 2am and drop them all at home. She’s freaking out crying saying she just wants to be a good friend and keep them safe while my mom brain is saying they are not being great friends for continually putting a high school girl in this situation and my priority is to keep her safe. Am I wrong? Should I let her continually go rescue these people?
As long as she is being responsible I do not see an issue. She is doing the right thing.
