Thoughts on circumcision at age 3… Experiences welcomed… My son’s foreskin is so constricted above the head of his penis it doesn’t retract at all… Drs gave me meds to help loosen the skin so it could retract… I have a post-op Friday… Should I follow up with the surgery? Please help mamas!!
He does not need to be retracted at this age. Most don’t retract till closer to puberty. The foreskin is fused to the head of the penis at birth. Only your child should be retracting his own anyway. Good luck and leave his penis alone.
Is it causing him pain or frequent infections? If not I woul absolutely not bother with it. He’s old enough to remember a surgery at this age and the discomfort and pain of recovery.
