Considering trying a menstrual cup, wanted to know what kind of experience people have had with them, good or bad. It’s painful to wear tampons and I’m sick of pads. Thanks for any insight!
Best decision I ever made. Little learning curb but well worth it!
Love, love mine! I use disposable ones for travel. I’ll never go back!
I love my cup. It took me 3 tries before I found the magic cup, but seriously a life saver.
Absolutely LOVE mine. Took awhile to learn to get it to set right and learn to use it with comfort. After I did, it improved 100000fold. It’s awesome!
Life changing. There’s a learning curve, but once you get it, it’s worth it.
I’ve also heard great things about the discs.
I have been using mine for like 5 years now (not the same one, ew, but the same brand). I love it! It was a bit if a learning curve the first time using it, but I’ll never go back now!
I tried everything! I didn’t find the cups to be comfortable, but the discs were a life saver.
Take the PACII quiz! Find your perfect fit. I switched after my 1st baby- I’ll never go back!
I’ve been using a menstral cup for about 5 years. Life changing. Took a little getting used to putting it in the right way, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll never want to use anything else.
I couldn’t get it figured out. I wanted to so badly. Tried multiple brands and few different times. Watched many videos and just couldn’t get comfortable
I love it. Will always use that now. I will say first time sleeping with it I thought I had lost it up in there cause it was so far in and I couldn’t get it out. I freaked but my cousin told me just start peeing it pushes it out and u can grasp it then. That worked
Best thing I’ve ever used I’ll never go back
I use the discs and love them! I can’t stand pads. But the tampon cotton and strings would irritate me so bad. So I switched to the discs and will never go back lol but there is a learning curve. If it’s not properly inserted and sitting where it needs to be, it will leak.
Tried it, got it literally vacuum suctioned to my cervix and after trying myself for an hour I gave up and called my hubby for help and successfully traumatized both of us. Never again. Just MY experience, and I am glad it does work out for some of you because it’s expensive to be a female in the US with the prices for some of the products out there!
It’s amazing. I barely feel the pain or the shedding when I wear mine. Once you learn how to put it in and the proper way to fit it to your unique vag, you’re golden.
I wear mine with menstural panties or regular panties and a thin liner.
Cups or disc here (depends if I want sexy time) but the cup is little more difficult and a learning curve but can be managed while learning, highly recommend a panty liner while learning, which takes about 1 to 3 cycles.
A disc is a little bit similar but you have to go further than the cup
i use a diva cup and period disk. it took a few uses to learn how to use it properly but i love both. i used to use pads and get pad rashes. it can be a little messy depending on how often you empty the cup but not super bad. i’ve rarely had any leaks and the period disk allows for non messy period sex. also the period disk are disposable so you throw them away after use ( even if you don’t have sex).
another thing i noticed is my period cramps changed. like almost barely noticeable.
I use a disposable disc. I heard a few stories that the cups were a little uncomfortable at first, so I tried a disc instead. I’ll never go back. And, I don’t experience cramps anymore since making the switch.
What about the period undies?
I started with the cup a few years ago and have since switched to the disc.
Both are game changers. There is a bit of a learning curve to get used to but so much better!
Best thing ever. Have used one for years.
Does anyone have any experience with the cups and prolapse?
Go for the disk! Way better
I personally love mine. I want to look into the reusable disk as well but I skip periods on my bc so haven’t gotten to try it yet. The cup has a learning curve, it took me about 3 cycles to get it in easily and consistently. You can’t be afraid to get blood on your hands, though but I personally find it a lot more comfortable than pads or tampons.
I use to use tampons and one day I tried cups and I haven’t went back since!! They last longer than tampons and you don’t have to worry about TSS. A box of them last a few cycles too
Period knickers all the way for me, best thing ever!
It takes awhile to get used to. But I don’t know how I lived without it all of these years.
I can’t wear tampons anymore either, since I had kids it just causes me God awful cramping, so even though I don’t like pads, that’s been my only option.
I bought a cup about 2 years ago and it took some getting used to, but I absolutely love it now! I have also noticed that period products really affect my vaginal health🙃 But what can you do if you’ve gotta use them right. So the cup is the only thing now that doesn’t throw off my balance. Plus I absolutely love not adding half a pack of pads to my city dump every month♻️
It was fine. I have an interesting story with one. I was trying to conceive and got irritated that it wasn’t happening on my timeline. I read a blog about using a menstrual cup to keep the swimmers inside longer. I wanted to “practice” using it through a period to understand how yo get it in and out etc. So I only used mine for one period (worked fine, no leaks) then used it for one time trying to conceive. And now I’m 6 months pregnant
I bought one, struggled too much with getting it placed without it slipping so the stem was hanging out. I prefer the discs but they aren’t reusable; at least the ones I’ve tried.
I use the Flex Disk and I prefer it over tampons. Much less cramping and pelvic pressure. Takes some getting used to with placement and everything. Still need a panty liner with it just in case of leaks.
Tried the disc, not my thing at all… it leaked and then pulling it out blood gets everywhere
How do u discreetly clean them in a public bathroom
Try flex as a trial they are disposable but so comfy
Holy cow, ive never heard of a menstral cup. Im getting so old
Flex Disc!! Comfortable, easy to use & mess free sex!!
The best is to get a hysterectomy if you had all your babies already. No more painful periods, no more pads…just saying
