They don’t see you! You are their world!

In my many years of babysitting, I’ve had even 4 year olds do this. Guess it all depends on the kids

Lol never especially if the child is a girl

My almost 12-month-old usually always smiles when she wakes up, especially when she sees me. Only time she cries is when she hasn’t gotten sufficient rest in.

Every child is different. My boys never cried when they went to bed or woke up.

I’m 29 and I’m still grumpy after a nap😂 it’s called sleep inertia , your brain is still going from sleep to waking especially if you go into a deep sleep or wake during a sleep cycle.

My almost 12 year old still whines when she wakes up lolol

My youngest is 2 1/2 yrs and still cries every time she wakes! Oldest is 6 now but I don’t think he cried when waking up once he was like 9 months or so.

My boy is 2 and he still cries sometimes when he wakes up. He mostly complains until we come but occasionally he does wake up crying.

They just want you to know they’re awake and they are looking for you

Should stop by 45 years old.

My almost 14month old hasn’t done that in months! As soon as we transitioned him into his own room and bed… (co slept from newborn to about 7months) he started doing his nights… And I’m talking 12hrs.

They cry to let you know they’re awake. Is he talking? Or making noises (mama, dada etc)? You may want to talk to your doctor to rule out any developmental issues.
