What age should you stop using a high chair he will be 3 in aug I don’t normally put him in a high chair cause his sister tries to take him out or gets distracted, but when we r in a restaurant I always do
I bought my daughter her own table set around 2 an she does pretty good sitting at it, shes 4 now.
We stopped at 2 in our house and 3 at restaurants to prepare for PreK
I stopped using a high hair when my son was a master walker. I had those high chairs that transitioned to a chair and table.
My son is 3 and we just use a booster in a regular chair so he can reach the table. It has buckles but we dont use them.
My 2yr old sits on a booster seat (without straps) at the regular table. I was tired of the bulky high chair always in the way. We just don’t leave her unattended - which we didn’t before but I’d clean the kitchen and positioned her to where I can see her. Now I sit at the table while she eats.
My daughter is 3 and still in a high chair and will be until she can be stationary
Around 2 at home. By 3 years old they are big enough for a booster at restaurants
By age two. At home and in restaurants. We only used booster seats
My daughter was 1.5 simply because it was way more of a battle to get her to behave and eat when she was in her high chair. Booster was the same, so she’s been using a “grown up” chair since she was almost 2
With my 2 year old we have him in the highchair when we went out to eat but at home we let him sit in his big boy chair which is just alil paw patrol chair he loves at our coffee table in the living room cause it’s easier for us cause we let him play with a few toys to get him to eat more
When his but cant fit any more
In house we stopped when he could sit in the kids sized chair that fits perfectly under our coffee table, without getting up and arguing. Highchair was helpful for the baby food and regular food learning but now he’s got all his teeth and we know how he likes his food so we’re good. We still use them in public bc in public he gets distracted easily and it’s nice to tie him down in those moments lol
I stopped at age 1/12
Little after 2 is when we stopped with my stepson. And just went straight to the normal dinner table. At restaurants he’ll get a booster if needed.
My son stopped sitting in one at home right before he turned one because he refused to eat if he was in one so I bought him a toddler table and chair. At restaurants I usually let him roam the booth/stand and eat unless he starts getting rowdy or our food comes (I always order his food first) then he gets put in a high chair and he recently turned 2
My son is 18 months and we have a little table with chairs
At 2.5 we moved to a booster at the table. It didn’t last long. He will be three I’m two months and is just sitting at the table like his older siblings
Those are the kinds of decisions that you have to make based on your personal good judgment.
My son was out of a high chair quick! But that’s because he wasn’t a wild child and he loved the booster
My son is 2 he’s not in a regular high chair but he has a little booster seat that hooks onto a chair. Maybe try that
I used booster seats, never had highchairs. I think they used them until 3-4. Depends on their height. Can she sit at the table comfortably?
I do booster seat at the table for my 3 year old. Started when she turned 3 in April. I could have kept her in Hugh chair longer but I wanted to declutter.
I used one for my kids until they were about 4 years old by then they should be able to sit in a booster seat and be able to follow simple directions.
I hardly ever used one with my youngest, I usually held her in my lap when I fed her.
When you want to stop, or child wants to stop. My kids never used one.
When they start walking they should be able to use a booster chair
When your kid can safely sit at the table…
When they can reach the table to eat properly .
We started using a booster when they was about
My oldest is 3. I stopped about 2 in a half. Hes pretty good about sitting while eating though. My youngest turned 2 in june and wants to be like his brother so he just recently stopped sitting in a high chair. Hes still learning to not run around while eating though. So I always put him in one when we are out. At home he sits in a chair and I remind often to sit while hes eating.
I never put my kids in one
Yeah we did it at 3 and got a booster chair since our table is high
