"Hi everyone. My daughter just got a phone. She just started middle school, she’s in all of these after school activities so decided it was time. What apps do you recommend to monitor a child’s phone. I was looking into Bark as well as Airdroid. What app do you guys use & why do you like it?
"
I use Life 360 for my middle schooler. We’ve been using it for a few years
I use bark. They actually have a bark phone now that had built in monitoring system. I can shut her phone off if I need (calling and texting will still work but all apps will be unaccessible) I can choose settings for notifications. Example: profanity- if I select all, anytime there is swearing in messages or something she views I will get a screenshot of it. This phone has been wonderful for knowing what’s going on in my kiddos world and makes it easier to have conversations about the hard topics
SaferKid costs a pretty penny but it’s worth every dollar! You can eliminate & monitor any & everything down to all texts sent/received and websites visited.
My daughter has an Android phone and I have Family Link on it. I can control what apps she downloads, i can control time limits, I can block certain features on the phone, etc. I also have Life 360 on it so I know where she is at all times.
Lifee 360 seems to be a really popular one
Kids360. Let’s you monitor apps and any searches and set limits and block any apps
If it’s an android phone , use Google family link , you can control basically everything including free time what games or apps they can download , check their battery percentage and location and im sure so many other things I haven’t even tapped into
Bark is only $15 a month and filters and looks through every app, browser and text/pictures, location, screen time, blocking, everything on multiple devices even for multiple children.
I use qustodio & family link. We tried bark but were getting SO MANY emails, notifications and texts (i know you can adjust in the settings & we did) and it was waaaaay too overbearing; it wasn’t worth it for us. I really like qustodio it’s very user friendly and really easy to set up!
I use family link works great and is free tells you everything they download and certain apps can require permission if you set am age limit
If you dont trust your child. Dont buy the phone
