What are the risks of a low lying placenta?

Just had an ultrasound yesterday, my placenta has been lying low, now I’m 26 weeks and it is still lying low. They want me back at 34 weeks to check again.
Has anyone had their placenta move up after 26 or more weeks? I’m totally freaked out. What are the risks of low lying placenta? :disappointed: midwife told me the risks are early labor but I was reading online and some things said c section which I definitely do not want another, was hoping to try for vbac this time around.

It can move mine was covering my cervix for the longest time they told be if it didn’t move I would have to have a csection bc it’s high risk to deliver like that you and the baby can bleed mine moved dont freak out you have a little more time left

My son came a whole month early but it moved enough for me to have a natural birth

Mine was low and they were planning a c section. I went back at 34 weeks and it had moved. They say it happens a lot and most of the time will move as the baby gets bigger. I was also told no Intercourse while my placenta was low cause it could cause bleeding and early labor

My 2nd came at 35 weeks but my placenta moved in time for delivery. I think it moved around week 30.

Mine moved by the 34 week point but was still low, by the time I delivered it was right at my belly button

Mine was low lying and moved later on. There’s still plenty of time !

Mine moved between 24 & 29 weeks! As baby gets bigger, there’s more room for it to move away from your cervix.

Mine moved up by my 34 week ultrasound

They usually move up the last trimester.

Mine was low. .I had heavier bleeding at brith but that’s it

Happened to me both times and I grew out of it. I wouldn’t stress about it until you get the next ultrasound. It’s very typical.

I’m 32 weeks and mine is very low also- scheduled c section at 37 weeks with follow up ultrasound the week before…

A friend of mine hers didn’t move at all and she ended up delivery it first then her baby it ruptured and I think she may have needed some blood but ended up being fine

Yes mine did… dont worry… please dont worry your self over it

I’m dealing with it now. I go back in July to see if it moved. But my sister in law just dealt with a low lying placenta, her was a lot closer to the cervix. It never moved, but she ended up having a placental abruption and needed an emergency c-section at 34 weeks to get him out. Thing went fine though. Both of them were okay.

Mine moved up slowly. Dr said it will naturally to be closer to the most blood supply
