I am sad. I have been for a while. I don’t feel anything anymore. I don’t get excited or happy about anything. The only emotion I really feel is sadness, emptiness and lonliness. What causes this?
Big hug sounds like you could be experiencing depression or perhaps just a period of low mood. Begin by accepting that it’s ok to feel like this and everyone of us encounter this sometimes…
Seek help and don’t be ashamed to feel your feelings, but don’t let it rob you of many more wonderful days ahead .
Try writeing a daily journal .and go for a walk .

Sounds like depression, just have to get to the underlying reason why! I can help!
Have u had a recent loss: people, job, relationship?
If you’ve gone through something traumatic like loss, end of a relationship, a toxic relationship, it can be grief
Try reducing sugar in your diet.and sit in sunshine for a hour a day for vitamin d. Go see your doctor depression can get healed with time and medicine .hope you feel better soon
Talk to your doctor about a depression screening, medication and referral to a specialist (psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, counselor). This is the definition of depression. If it’s related to loss, a grief counselor is good. If there’s not a lot of sunlight available to you, take vitamin D and tell your doctor. If you’re diagnosed with seasonal affective disorder you can get a full spectrum lamp or lightbulbs that can help.
Other than meds and therapy, what can help is more sunshine, exercise, socializing, meditation, taking a multivitamin, listening to music.
Try to get in a routine of bathing and chores. Give yourself credit for accomplishing one thing a day, even if it’s taking a shower or getting dressed or getting the mail.
If you don’t feel like eating, get meal replacement drinks like instant breakfast or Ensure. Yogurt is good too, maybe smoothies from the grocery store as you probably don’t have the energy to shop much or make them. If you’re not eating and all you want is milkshakes and fries, eat that until you can manage something healthier.
It’s normal to feel this way sometimes. If you live in an area where it’s cold right now that can put a damper on anyone’s moods. But also reach out to a psychiatrist and a therapist to help you. I have borderline personality disorder and have recently started seeing both. I know how you feel. Because I live with it everyday. But with the proper help there is light at the end of the tunnel. Try to keep your mind occupied. Reading, coloring, walks in the fresh air, ear buds in while you’re cleaning, etc. I like to color to keep my mind busy when I’m at a low spot. Hugs you got this. It’s only temporary. You can always private message me if you need someone to talk to. Because I feel your pain.
