I feel like the older kids get, the harder they get to buy for. My kiddo is turning 11 a few weeks before Christmas so it’s always a double hit in the same month lol. What do you get your boys around 11 years? I get the whole electronic thing, but I’m looking for ideas that aren’t game related to put under the tree. He still loves to build Lego, but that’s the only thing I can think of.
Have a look on vinted people selling things to make like robotic things science things it might give you some ideas for something different
Nerf anything is always a hit
Does he enjoy sports? Dribble up was an awesome gift we got our 10 year old. They have soccer, baseball, and basketball. We got him the soccer one, He still uses it still and he’s 13.
Maybe a gift cards so he can buy what he wants- needs?? A trip maybe to a hotel? A trip to the Science Center? Cologne?
Try experiences. Bridge climb, fast jet boat rides, ifly sessions, anything adrenalin based that he loves and always wanted to try
Honestly my daughter wants a laptop so we’re getting her one. Walmart has a Chromebook on rollback right now for 130
I have the same issue. My 12yo daughter is easy. My 11yo son is hard. I told him to go to Amazon & look stuff up & make me a list. If he can’t do that much for me he won’t get anything.
What are his interests? My 11 year old likes astronomy so we are going to get a beginner telescope
Books: “Guy Stuff: The Body Book for Boys” or “The Care and Keeping if You for Boys.” Model kits, chemistry sets, growing crystals and other experiment toys.
Check out the candy/snacks from around the world.
Find somewhere that sells model cars and get him one , don’t forget the glue, a book about the history of Legos.
My 13 year old is getting Lego sets. There are a few video games he asked for. And new ear buds for his phone. He’s the easiest of the kids to buy for because he still plays with some toys. My 17 and 15 year old want new gaming computers and a PS 5.
Me but 11 year old girl.
It definitely cost more as they get older and it’s harder to pick what they’d like and this age they like so much expensive things it’s rough lol
Tickets to a show or hockey game
A camp ? Does he play a sport ? You could do lessons in something
It all depends.
Does your kid like fishing? If so fishing gear and hooks are always a hit.
Do you guys have snow in the winter months? Toboggan or outside toys can be fun still.
Other ones like Board games, marble racers, a bedroom makeover with a new paint job and wall decor of his choice.
My 11 year old loves chess so he’s getting a new chess board, he’s also asking for some baseball related items. Maybe try something new- bow/arrow set, beginners wood carving set? My son has loved those things in the past!
